  • Patent number: 5807460
Abstract: A coated film is peeled and removed on a resin product by rollers. Each roller has a different rotational speed and applies a shear slipping stress between the coated film and the resin material to peel the coated film from the resin material. The apparatus includes cooling device for cooling one of the rollers by feeding coolant through a passage formed in the roller so as to reduce adhering the coated film to the roller surface.

  • Patent number: 5805313
Abstract: Input data corresponding to three primary colors C, M and Y are subjected to masking correction, to obtain data C', M' and Y'. A correction factor in a masking equation is varied depending on which of three sections into which all the gray levels of each of the input data C, M and Y are divided, the section being a section to which the input data of a selected color belong. As a result, suitable masking correction conforming to the value of the input data is made, thereby to improve color reproducibility of a color image.

  • Patent number: 5804916
Abstract: A flat picture tube including a glass vessel which is internally evacuated, a heater installed inside the glass vessel for emitting heat electrons, a plurality of anodes extended in one direction and disposed at a constant interval on one inner plane of the glass vessel for absorbing the heat electrons, a plurality of fluorescent units disposed on the plurality of anodes in a matrix shape for radiating depending on heat electrons absorbed to the anodes, and a plurality of control grids extended perpendicularly to the anode extended direction and disposed in a constant interval for controlling the absorption of the heat electrons toward the anodes operates in a matrix digital method and does not necessitate an electron gun nor deflection yokes, thereby reducing the volume thereof. In the case of a 20 inch picture tube, the maximum thickness thereof is only 5 cm so that it can be adopted for a wall television. Also, since a high-voltage power is not required, the overall power consumption is lowered.

  • Patent number: 5799859
Abstract: A golf club head formed by a combined "superplastic forming and diffusion bonding" method. The basic procedures are using three titanium sheets and machining shallow cavities into one of the sheets, which later provides the reinforcing function. Applying stop-off to the area where diffusion bonding is not desired and then sealing the three sheets by welding along their peripheries together with two gas supply tubes. The assembly then is placed into a die and a gas supply is attached. After vacuuming and heating up, the assembled part is subjected to subsequent diffusion bonding and superplastic inflation processes which yield a titanium golf club head with an internally strengthened striking face.

  • Patent number: 5796923
Abstract: A method and apparatus for estimating unknown quantities provide plural sets of hierarchical perceptrons 1i in parallel to one another, construct a condition by learning in which a processing equivalent to a numerical formula corresponding to relationship between input and output in each hierarchical perceptron 1i, then construct a partial differential function of the numerical formula by learning based upon a difference between a cumulative addition value of function value outputs and a teacher pattern, and a difference between a partial differential value corresponding to the function value output and a partial differential value teacher pattern. Thereafter, the method and apparatus cumulatively add outputs from the plural hierarchical perceptron 1i, then correct input layer corresponding to unknown quantities of the hierarchical perceptron 1i based upon a difference between the cumulative addition value and the measurement value and a partial differential value of the cumulative addition value.

  • Patent number: 5777353
Abstract: Disclosed in this invention is a new four-terminal type and multiple delta-doped transistors with multiple functions grown by low-pressure metalorganic chemical vapor deposition (LP-MOCVD). All the epilayers are grown on n.sup.+ -GaAs substrates. The real-space transfer transistors (RST), the collector is located under the substrate, reveal very strong negative differential resistance phenomena. The RST structure using an InGaAs channel manifests superior characteristics of a very high peak-to-valley current ratio up to 430,000 at room temperature, a peak current as high as 100 mA, very sharp charge injection, and a valley current as broad as 5.5V. Meanwhile, high performance heterostructure field effect transistors can be implemented on the same wafer by further evaporating a gate between source and drain electrodes. In order to significantly reduce leakage current, an ohmic recession is made at the source and drain.

  • Patent number: 5777578
Abstract: The global positioning system (GPS) compass is consisted of three main units. These units are the pointer, the sensor, and the controller. The pointer unit is comprised of an iron frame, an aluminum bar, and two aluminum plates. The sensor unit is comprised of global positioning system (GPS) receivers and global positioning system (GPS) antennas. The controller unit includes a personal computer, a stepping motor, several data interface circuit boards, and some motor control circuit boards. The baseline of the pointer is an aluminum bar of about one meter long. The sensor unit can measure the baseline's azimuth angle relative to the local coordinate. When command is received, the controller unit is capable of turning the aluminum bar to the desired direction by the aid of the stepping motor. There are two modes for operation available. One is the initial mode, the other is the normal mode. It takes about one or two minutes to complete the initial mode operation.

  • Patent number: 5777300
Abstract: The present invention comprises a processing furnace for oxidizing object to be processed at a high temperature, pressure reducing means for evacuating the interior of the processing furnace, a burning apparatus disposed outside the processing furnace for burning hydrogen gas and oxygen gas to generate water vapor, a water vapor supply pipe interconnecting the burning apparatus and to the processing furnace, and a throttle disposed on the water vapor supply pipe for generating a pressure difference in the water vapor supply pipe between a side of the burning apparatus and a side of the processing furnace. Stable burning is ensured in the burning apparatus, which makes set oxidation under low pressures possible. It is possible that in place of the throttle, atomization means for atomizing pure water, or a boiling water vapor generating unit, or a microwave water vapor generating unit.
