Abstract: Remotely sensed spectral image data are used to develop a Vegetation Index file which represents spatial variations of actual crop vigor throughout an area that is under cultivation. The latter information is processed to place it in a format that can be used by personnel to correlate and calibrate it with actually observed crop conditions existing at control points within the area. Based on the results, personnel formulate a prescription request, which is forwarded to a central processing site, where the prescription is prepared. The latter is returned to a mobile application means that directly applies inputs to the field at a spatially variable rate.

Abstract: The present invention relates to solid panel window shutters having both high strength and structural stability. More particularly, an exterior window shutter made of a solid panel of polyvinyl chloride with at least one support member affixed in the panel. The shutter includes a solid panel having front and back surfaces and side edges, support member, impact resistant member and slats having a channel to receive the support member; wherein the support member is embedded between the panel and the slats. Also contemplated by this invention are: a method to manufacture high strength and structurally stable exterior window shutters and a method to protect windows from extreme weather.
Abstract: A boilerless steamer apparatus is provided having a steamer cavity formed of a steam generating space and a cooking space, wherein the steam generating space is separated from the cooking space by a removable steam lid. The present boilerless steamer apparatus can provide between 7 to 10 lbs./hour (per pan) of steam. Various methods to easily clean the boilerless steamer apparatus are provided.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method and apparatus for to conduct transgenic and targeted mutagenesis screening of genomic DNA. This invention also provides a system for screening DNA for a designated genetic sequence. The system includes a computer having a processor, memory and web browser, wherein the computer receives instructions concerning the designated genetic sequence and other screening parameter selection from a remote user via a form of electronic communication, and an automatic screening device that analyzes samples of genomic DNA for the designated sequence.
Abstract: The present invention relates to an improved stacker reclaimer apparatus for building up and discharging bulk material. The improved stacker reclaimer apparatus includes only one stacker bearing to separate the stacker machine from the reclaimer machine. A torque reaction member is rotatable connected to the stacker upper column. The torque reaction member is made of an arm portion and a torque arm bearing frame.
Abstract: A biocompatible form and a method for fabricating the implant are provided. The biocompatible form may be used to support bone graft material such as that used to reconstruct missing bone in a patient's oral cavity. The implant is fabricated from a biocompatible mesh, which may be made of titanium, a titanium alloy or fiber and is permanently implantable in the patient's oral cavity. The biocompatible form has an anatomical configuration which includes one or more portions conforming substantially to various alveolar bone contours which may include predetermined, human interproximal bone contours, root prominence bone contours and mylohyoid ridge bone contours. The biocompatible form may include a palatal section. The biocompatible form may also include one or more apertures for receiving a corresponding number of dental prostheses therethrough.
Abstract: This patent describes a composite garment made of (1) a dress having a top edge and a fastenable opening; and (2) a liner comprising a bodice support and a slip, the bodice support having a top edge and bottom edge, the bodice support having a fastenable opening coexistent with the fastenable opening of the dress, the bodice support having a plurality of stays extending from substantially the top edge of the bodice support to the bottom edge of the bodice support, wherein the plurality of stays are placed in close proximity to each other, the slip attached to the bottom edge of the bodice support, wherein the top edge of the dress is attached to the top edge of the bodice support. A bodice support of a composite garment is also described in this patent. A method to manufacture the composite garment is also described in this patent.
Abstract: The present invention provides an exterior window shutter that is made of thermoplastic resin, has functional louvers, but is still hurricane resistant. The shutter includes a perimeter framework that is adapted to receive a transparent impact resistant member. This impact resistant member is permanently affixed to the perimeter framework to increase structural stability. Additionally, this invention provides a method to make a high strength and structurally stable hurricane resistant louvered shutter.
Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for in situ rejuvenation of asphalt pavement. The apparatus and method provide for heating the underlying surface to form a preheated surface, passing a mill over the preheated surface and milling the preheated surface to loosen the preheated surface to a desired depth and discharging the milled material from opposite ends of the respective windrows of known breadth. Windrow height is measured as is rate of advance of the transport structure to determine a volume throughput. Rejuvenating fluid is added to each windrow at a dosage rate based on a desired weight percentage and the volume throughput. A mixer is passed over the windrows and receives the windrows through respective openings at either end thereof. The mixer also blends the rejuvenating fluid with the milled material and forms a blended mixture which is discharged from the mixer. The mixer may be a pug mill operated in an inverted arrangement utilizing the road surface as a bottom thereto.
