  • Patent number: 4491295
Abstract: A gang tool assembly for drilling a precise pattern of holes in a workpiece or otherwise cutting surfaces and the like on such workpiece and including a mounting panel of cured settable material having a pattern of holes formed therein to receive supports for powered tool heads to detachably support the same to form a gang pattern of either drills or cutters for simultaneously drilling a pattern of holes in a workpiece or forming a surface thereon. The mounting panel is formed by mounting a pattern of pins upon a base mold plate, surrounding said plate with mold sidewalls, placing sleeves upon said pins, pouring a settable slurry of high fracture strength of uniform thickness around said pins, allowing the material to cure to rigid condition, and removing the molded rigid panel and sleeves in situ therein from said base mold plate and pins to provide a rigid supporting panel for a gang of powered tool heads having supports extending through said sleeves.

  • Patent number: 4483046
Abstract: A machine to form lump-type crab meat from smaller particles of cooked crabmeat by extruding the same under pressure from a cylinder having a discharge nozzle adjoining a die plate having one or more contoured cavities in a flat face thereof and movable past said nozzle to receive compressed crab meat particles in compact congealed condition for molding into a desired configuration resembling natural lump-type commercial crab meat. A knife member on a slide shears the molded lump of crab meat from the extrusion end of the discharge nozzle and sealing means on it prevent appreciable escape of natural juices of the crab meat from the molded lumps, and ejecting plungers having contoured ends form part of the molding surfaces of the die cavities and are reciprocable to eject the molded lumps when the die plate is moved to clear the die cavities from said discharge nozzle.

  • Patent number: 4452487
Abstract: An operatory stool has a seat supported upon a post-like member extending upward from a caster-supported base, the seat having a short post extending upward from an edge of the seat and supports a horizontal curved arm for rotation about the axis of the post. Inter-engageable position control members are mounted respectively on the arm and upper end of the post and are operable for separation by raising the arm a short distance to disengage them, then rotate the arm about the axis of the post, and then release the arm to re-establish engagement of the position control members which are maintained in engagement by a compression spring. A one-way clutch also is mounted between the arm and post to permit rotation of the arm a limited distance in one direction only to augment the pivotal movement of the arm permitted by disengagement of the position control members.
