  • Patent number: 4461439
Abstract: A two-part holder for an appliance, such as a manually operable hairdryer, includes a stationary wall mounted bracket as one part and a relatively movable appliance clamping portion as the other part. The clamping portion may be clamped about an appliance and quickly connected to and quickly removed from the stationary bracket without manipulating any fastening mechanism. An abutment projecting from the bracket retains the electric supply cord of an appliance out of the user's way.

  • Patent number: 4460022
Abstract: A warp stop-motion mechanism including a plurality of electrodes and means supporting the electrodes in a common plane. A drop wire is provided for each warp yarn and the warp yarns support the drop wires about the electrodes in normal operation. A control bar is provided at a lower elevation than the electrodes and is in continuous engagement with the warp yarns during normal operation of the loom to prevent repetitive contact of the electrodes by the warp yarns and drop wires. Means are provided for adjusting the warp stop-motion mechanism longitudinally, transversely, and vertically.

  • Patent number: 4433205
Abstract: A cable connector is provided which is particularly adapted for use in the field whereby the connection may be quickly and reliably made without the use of special tools other than those ordinarily carried by welders and electricians, such as screwdrivers, knives and hammers. The connector comprises a length of copper tubing having an inside diameter slightly larger than the outside diameter of the cable to be connected. The copper tubing is slotted along its length to define deformable portions which are forced into the cable strands after the ends of the cable to be connected have been inserted into abutting relation through opposite ends of the tube.

  • Patent number: 4423849
Abstract: A self-supporting structure is provided which may be useful for a plant stand or as a support for garden crops, or other purposes. The structure includes three legs and a clinch plate having a hole therethrough for each leg, the holes being slightly larger than the legs and extending through the clinch plate at angles relative to the axis of the group of holes and relative to the axis of the radius of each hole. The legs extend through the clinch plate and converge in frictional binding relation to each other at a zone of convergence spaced from the clinch plate. That zone of convergence and the engagement of the legs with the upper and lower edges of the holes through the clinch plate provide the only support for the structure and it is self-supporting without any extraneous means such as glue, nails, or the like. A table top may be supported on or adjacent the upper ends of the legs.
