Abstract: A system and method of managing tax-deferred retirement accounts may allow a plurality of participants to invest in a portfolio having a plurality of exchange traded funds (ETFs) according to an asset allocation model. The system and method may use at least one regular contribution to selectively buy at least one underweighted exchange traded fund to cause a participant's portfolio to more closely conform to the asset allocation model. The system and method may allow a plurality of participants to conduct calculations of estimated retirement savings based on a plurality of parameters.
Abstract: A method and system for making a dental prosthetic includes, for example, arranging a first virtual tooth image relative to a second virtual tooth image on a virtual denture set and locating a first actual prosthetic tooth relative to a second actual prosthetic tooth in a manner corresponding to the arranged first and second virtual images. The method also may include performing at least one Boolean operation to remove a portion of the first virtual tooth image and the second virtual tooth image and machining the first actual prosthetic tooth and the second actual prosthetic tooth to remove a portion correspond to material removed by the Boolean operation performed on the first and second virtual tooth images.
Abstract: A beverage composition includes water, milk solids, a tea material, and a pH buffer that itself includes a lactate salt and a carbonate salt. The pH buffer reduces or eliminates precipitation of milk protein when dissolved milk solids are mixed with acidic tea components. Methods of preparing the composition, and packaged beverages are also described.
Abstract: A beverage insulator as described herein may comprise a generally hollow body having an interior space, wherein the interior space is adaptable to receive at least a portion of a beverage container, and a compartment disposed exteriorly of and in fluid communication with the interior space. The interior space and the compartment may be in fluid communication with each other via a valve or other suitable conduit. The interior space may be sized and shaped complementary to a beverage container such that when the beverage container is inserted into the interior space, the compartment is inflated with air or other fluid. Alternatively, a valve may be configured to receive a tube through which a user may blow air or other fluid in order to inflate the compartment. The inflated compartment insulates the beverage container and its contents.
Abstract: Systems and methods of creating, managing, and using a database comprising surgical data may involve receiving input signals from a plurality of surgical data sources, the input signals being representative of surgical data associated with a plurality of patients, storing the surgical data in the database, and sending one or more output signals to one or more authorized users in response to one or more queries, the output signals being representative of one or more portions of the surgical data. Among other uses, the systems and methods may be used to improve the performance of surgical procedures, rate surgeons, train surgeons, and establish insurance rates for surgeons and patients.
