Abstract: An apparatus for maintaining a desired air pressure inside a home includes a differential pressure switch/gage having a first port and a second port. The first port is adaptable for sensing a first pressure inside the home; the second port is adaptable for sensing a second pressure outside the home. The differential pressure switch/gage is adaptable for producing a signal in response to a difference between the first pressure and the second pressure. A motorized damper is in signal communication with the differential pressure switch/gage and is operable to control entry of air into the home in response to the signal. A method of maintaining a desired air pressure inside a home comprises sensing a first pressure inside the home, sensing a second pressure outside the home, and introducing air into the home through a controlled opening if said second pressure exceeds said first pressure by a specified amount.
Abstract: 3,5-di-substituted-4-hydroxybenzylidene phosphonates and sulfonates useful in treating inflammatory disease, particularly osteoarthritis, and elastomeric particles for oral delivery of drugs are disclosed.
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a wheel end assembly having a high temperature warning system for giving a warning in the event that the temperature in the assembly reaches a predetermined value such as caused by hub bearing failure or a brake related failure. In one embodiment the system may be a stand-alone system for installation on any vehicle such as a trailer. In another embodiment the system may be combined with an automatic tire inflation system.

Abstract: A method, apparatus and an article of manufacture having thereon a computer program, all for reducing data in groups of N values per group. The largest X values of the N values of each group is found. All but the largest X values of each group is set equal to zero. Respective ones of the N values produced are averaged to produce N average values. The largest Y of the N average values are set equal to a first binary value, and a remainder of the N average values are set equal to a second binary value. In one application, a signal is divided into a series of frames. For each frame, a spectrum of the signal is divided into a series of N frequency segments and the N values represent the amplitudes of the frequencies in the signal. Broadcast content is recognized.
Abstract: A pressure regulator that regulates the pressure at which carbon dioxide is introduced to water in a carbonated beverage system based on the temperature of the water. The regulator may be capable of operating in a first mode in which the carbon dioxide pressure varies substantially linearly over a first water temperature range, and a second mode in which the carbon dioxide pressure is substantially constant over a second water temperature range. A first flow path having a relatively small gas flow capacity may serve as a pilot to control the gas flow through a second flow path having a larger gas flow capacity.

Abstract: A portable, potable-water generator for producing high-purity liquid water by condensation of water vapor from ambient air. The generator employs an air filter to remove particulates and aerosols from the incoming air. An enclosed heat absorber cools the filtered air to its dew point and collects droplets of condensate into a condensate collector. Before discharge, the collected dew is treated in a bacteriostat loop to destroy adventitious living organisms and to filter out undesirable and dangerous contaminants. A recirculation loop provides the ability to recirculate stored condensate, including during periods of inactivity. Further, quick disconnect fittings and variable length flexible tubing allows use of the invention to serve remote dispensers and/or appliances and allow use of municipal water treated through the apparatus in low condensate situations.
Abstract: A down hole heating system for use with oil and gas wells which exhibit less than optimally achievable flow rates because of high oil viscosity and/or blockage by paraffin (or similar meltable petroleum byproducts). The heating unit the present invention includes shielding to prevent physical damage and shortages to electrical connections within the heating unit while down hole (a previously unrecognized source of system failures in prior art systems). The over-all heating system also includes heat retaining components to focus and contain heat in the production zone to promote flow to, and not just within, the production tubing.
