A brush member is fixedly attached to the first end of the handle and extends outwardly along the axis. The cleaning device also includes an attachment member fixedly attached to the second end of the handle and extending outwardly along the axis. A pad member includes a configuration that is substantially similar to a configuration of the pad holding member and removably coupled thereto.

Abstract: A personal artifact tethering device includes a casing having an open wrist-receiving area for allowing the casing to be worn as a bracelet on a person's wrist, the casing having an enclosed interior area. A reel is positioned inside the enclosed interior area and is movable between retracted and extended configurations. A spring connects the spring and casing and biases the reel to the retracted configuration. The tethering device includes a flexible tether having a first end coupled to the reel and a second end coupled to a hook, the tether passing through the enclosed interior area of the casing such that at least a portion of the hook is always outside the enclosed interior area, relatively less of the flexible tether being outside the enclosed interior area of the casing when the reel is at the retracted configuration.

Abstract: A portable and adjustable stand includes a base assembly having at least three legs pivotally coupled to an end cap and movable between retracted and extended configurations. The stand includes a length adjustable rod having first and second rod members for selectively adjusting the height thereof. The end cap is slidably coupled to a lower end of the first rod member. A drink holder assembly is mounted atop the second rod member. An auxiliary rod member and umbrella holder may be coupled to the second rod member.

Abstract: A temperature sensing device includes a casing having top and bottom walls with at least one wall connecting the top and bottom walls so that the casing is sealed, the top, bottom, and side walls being constructed of a heat resistant material. The sensing device includes a probe having a first portion attached to the casing bottom wall and extending downwardly and a second portion situated inside the interior space, the first and second portions being operatively connected to one another to transfer thermal energy therebetween. The probe second portion is coated with a thermochromic material that is color responsive to temperature. At least one wall of the casing defines an aperture that is covered by a material that is heat resistant, the probe second portion being viewable through the aperture for determining a temperature of an article of meat.

Abstract: A pylon attachment device for coupling a pylon to a floor joist includes a bearing plate for fixed attachment to the floor joist. The pylon attachment device includes a plurality of biasing members, each having a first end operatively coupled to the pylon and a second end operatively coupled to the bearing plate to allow the bearing plate to move relative to the pylon in a direction generally perpendicular to an imaginary center axis of the pylon and then return to a predetermined position. The attachment device includes a cap lowerly adjacent the bearing plate. A shear pin extends from the cap to the bearing plate to maintain the bearing plate at the predetermined position until a predetermined amount of force shears the shear pin and allows the bearing plate to move relative to the pylon in a direction generally perpendicular to the imaginary center axis of the pylon.

Abstract: An automobile side mirror includes a reflective portion having a front mirror that is incompletely silvered and a rear mirror angularly offset from the front mirror, the rear mirror being fixed relative to the front mirror. The mirror includes a bracket hingedly coupled to the reflective portion and a solenoid hingedly coupled to the reflective portion to selectively move the reflective portion from a first configuration to a second configuration. The mirror includes a return element to return the reflective portion from the second configuration to the first configuration. A light sensor is positioned to detect an amount of light directed toward the reflective portion. A processor is in communication with the light sensor and in communication with the solenoid, the processor including programming to actuate the solenoid upon detection of a predetermined amount of light directed at the light sensor.

Abstract: A powder applicator includes first and second sheets of flexible material, each sheet having a circular configuration with an external perimeter and having a porous section. The powder applicator also includes an absorbent disc having a predetermined amount of powder. The first sheet external perimeter is coupled to the second sheet external perimeter and the absorbent disc is sandwiched between the first and second sheets.

Abstract: A restaurant system includes an electronic kiosk having opposed first and second sides. A first display is situated on the first side for use by the customer and a second display is situated on the second side for use by a bartender. One aspect of the restaurant system includes a mobile kiosk system that includes a rail having distal and proximate ends and extends therebetween. The electronic kiosk includes a base that extends adjacent the rail. Inductive or conductive electrical components transmit an electrical current to power a processor, input device, and output device of the kiosk. The base is movable only along the rail between the rail distal and proximate ends.

Abstract: A rudder system for a kayak includes a rudder configured for pivotal attachment to the kayak and a propeller housed in and extending from the rudder. A battery is in electrical communication with the propeller to selectively power the propeller. The kayak system includes an input in electrical communication with the propeller to operatively actuate the propeller, the input being accessible from inside the kayak. A sensor is operatively coupled to the kayak to determine a relative speed thereof. A processor is in data communication with the sensor and propeller, the processor including programming to determine a necessary propeller speed. The processor is in data communication with the input so as to establish the desired relative speed of the kayak. The propeller includes at least two blades and the propeller motor is housed in the rudder.

Abstract: A dental shield apparatus includes a first portion of flexible tubing having proximal and distal ends. A handle is operably coupled to the distal end of the first portion of flexible tubing. The dental shield apparatus includes a transparent shield. Second and third portions of flexible tubing operatively couple the transparent shield to the handle, the second portion of flexible tubing having a mass per unit length that is less than a mass per unit length of the first portion of flexible tubing. The third portion of flexible tubing includes a mass per unit length that is less than the mass per unit length of the first portion of flexible tubing. The proximal end of the first portion of flexible tubing is attached to an anchor.

Abstract: A handle and stand apparatus for holding a razor in an upright configuration includes a housing defining an interior area and an open top and bottom. A plurality of gripping members extends upwardly in the interior area and each includes a distal end adjacent the open top. A clamping member is situated in the open top of the housing defining a bore configured to receive the handle of the razor into the interior area. The clamping member is rotatable between a clamped configuration in which the gripping members are urged inwardly about the razor handle and a released configuration in which the gripping members are released away from the razor handle. A vibration device may be situated in the housing interior area to cause water droplets to be dislodged from the razor when energized. The apparatus may include a counter circuit and display to monitor a number of razor uses.

Abstract: A multi-use child seating apparatus is provided for attachment to a number of frame structures, including a shopping cart, a table, a walker unit, a child activity center, and the like. A seating unit includes a seating frame and a flexible seat for receiving a child in a seated position therein. A mounting mechanism attached to the seating frame is adapted for mounting the seating apparatus to a frame structure, such as the handlebar of a shopping cart, and at least one connector is provided to secure the seating apparatus to the frame structure and brace the seating unit from movement when a child is seated in the flexible seat. A plurality of legs may be movably connected to the seating frame and moved to a deployed position to engage a frame structure, such as a table, to further secure the seating apparatus to the frame structure.

Abstract: A bite force measuring device includes a handle having first and second ends. A measurement shaft extends outwardly from the handle first end and includes a distal end relative to the handle. A test plate is positioned on the measurement shaft. The measuring device includes a flexible reservoir positioned inside the measurement shaft that is in contact with the test plate that contains a generally incompressible fluid such that the flexible reservoir undergoes pressure changes when the test plate bears against the reservoir. A plunger shaft is operatively connected to the reservoir and is pushed outwardly therefrom when pressure in the reservoir is increased. The plunger shaft may include indicia indicative of a measurement of a relative bite force.

Abstract: A grout cleaning device includes a housing having a front end, a lower region, and a handle; the lower region being separated from the handle. The cleaning device includes a rotatable brush operatively coupled to the housing at the housing front end for scrubbing grout. A motor is located in the housing and operatively coupled to the brush for rotating the brush. An ultraviolet light is operatively coupled to the housing at the housing lower region for sanitizing grout.
