Abstract: A potty seat, liner system is provided wherein the seat liner (9) is supported in a receptacle (7) by resting in the contours of a pee deflector (79) and an indentation (81). The receptacle (7) rests inside a seat (5), which is supported by a base (3). Furthermore, the liner (9) can be removed and folded onto itself to enclose waste therein. When not used with the base (3), the seat (5) is provided with an adjustment mechanism to facilitate securing the seat (5) to any desired adult sized toilet seat.
Abstract: A method of treating a patient infected with a lipid encapsulated virus by administering to the patient about 1000 mg to about 5000 mg per day of a nutritional supplement having from about 40 to about 80 wt. % L-lysine, from about 20 to about 50 wt. % butylated hydroxytoluene and from about 1 to about 10 wt. % Echinacea. Administration of the nutritional supplement inhibits ulcer formation resulting from lipid encapsulated virus infections such as herpes simplex I and II infections.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for fabricating a foam container by using a laser cutting apparatus to precisely cut and remove portions of foam in order to form custom and predetermined text, indentations and protective compartments in the foam, and more particularly a method of controlling the laser relative to high density foam to create precise cuts completely through the foam without subsequently adjusting the focal point of the laser, the cuts being made according to exterior dimensions of an object to be supported and protected in the high density foam.
Abstract: Footwear, namely a shoe or sandal for a human foot fabricated from multiple interchangeable components which can be easily manufactured, assembled and manually replaced and interchanged by the user for purposes of design, repair or changing color and aesthetic coordination and/or component design combinations of the footwear.
Abstract: A UV camouflaging substance, in the form of a solid, powder, paste, film, or liquid, can be applied to objects such as fabrics to match the ultraviolet reflectivity of the objects with their immediate surroundings. Embodiments are transparent to visible and IR light, and can be applied without changing the visible appearance of the objects. Other embodiments visibly match the surrounding environment, such as a white substance used near snow. Different embodiments can be layered on top of each other to form UV camouflage textures and to adapt to changing environments. Some embodiments can be washed off, to avoid a build-up of camouflage layers. Embodiments include UV-interactive micro- or nano-particles suspended in a binding agent which transmit, reflect, absorb and/or scatter ultraviolet rays. Some particles are absorbent, while others are approximately one-quarter wavelength thick, and suppress UV light by inducing half-wavelength phase shifts between light reflected from opposing surfaces.
Abstract: A ball valve and ball valve actuator including a unique valve stem seal and mounting connection between the ball valve and actuator. The stem seal design reduces leakage issues and significantly lengthens the life span of the ball valve and actuator and the mounting connection between the actuator. The ball valve maintains the centrality of the valve stem in connection with the actuator pinion and minimizes torque and shear forces transferred to the valve stem and hence the stem seal itself.
Abstract: A platform for an extension ladder comprises a plate member adapted to engage a pair of rails on each of a first stage and a second stage of the extension ladder and become wedged therebetween and to remain parallel to the ground when the plate member rests on a rung of the extension ladder. The plate member has at least six sides, a bottom cutout, a middle cutout and a top cutout; each cutout oppositely disposed on at least six sides; and each cutout relating to various positions along a length of the extension ladder.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a splash guard that partially encircles a rotary floor cleaning apparatus allowing for support wheels to maneuver the apparatus when the rotary brushes are not in operation. The splash guard prevents cleansing material or debris from being splattered onto walls and other surfaces adjacent to the surface being cleaned.
Abstract: Ring-shaped membrane for an electro-acoustical loudspeaker, where said membrane comprises two or more dome-shaped annulus concentrically arranged around a central portion through which an imaginary axis of symmetry passes, where an outer periphery of said membrane is suitable to be attached to a surround; where the central portion is attached to a tower, which again is fastened to the loudspeakers driver, wherein the angle between a plane being perpendicular to the axis of symmetry and the attachment of the membrane to the surround resp. the tower is in the interval 0° to 40°, most preferred around 30°.
Abstract: A method for the reconstruction of missing, broken and/or abraded teeth by means of face analysis. In order to determine the shapes and sizes of the teeth, the face of a patient, for whom the teeth are intended, is measured by means of one or more image-type pictures. The respective tooth size and tooth shape is determined proportionally from the obtained values.
Abstract: An Apparatus for Percussive Harmonic Musical Synthesis (APHAMS) which facilitates state-of-the-art musical expression, through generation of melodic sound, bearing well defined tone and note pitch, by the striking of uniquely configured multiple note activitation trigger mechanism surfaces, termed muzi-pads, with an appropriately sized mallet, stick, or other such similar playing implement, for the generation of a desired note, by a given MIDI device and which provides an enhanced emulation of the traditional tenor steelpan, in its interface with the player.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for a recycling and environmental debris chute that directs leaf, debris and recycling or other materials into a container for collection, and more particularly a foldable chute formed from a single sheet of material and insertable into a collection bag or flexible container to hold the bag or container open in an upright or laying down sideways position and facilitate directing leaves, debris and other material into the bag or container.
Abstract: An audio warning monitoring device, system and method including an audio detector, one or more audio screens to determine if monitored sound is an alarm, a processor or logic device to potentially analyze sound data and then instruct a transmitter to send a message with the monitoring device identification and signals representing sound detected by the audio detector to a server. The computer server analyzes the message and authenticates the audio detector, looks up user data associated with the detector, and contacts a user from previously stored user data in order to notify of the alert and then relay the audio signals in an audio file. At the user's option, the server may contact a staffed or automated monitoring center. Here a human operator may listen to the signals in the audio file and take appropriate action, such as calling the location of the alarm for verification or contacting a professional first responder(s).
Abstract: The present invention relates to a kit for whitening teeth and a kit for fabricating a dental apparatus and/or denture without visiting the dentist or stomataologist.
