Abstract: A mechanism for processing beamforming steering matrices in a transceiver system. A plurality of beamforming steering matrices associated with a plurality of subcarriers of an RF signal received at the transceiver system are generated. The beamforming steering matrices are compressed and stored. The beamforming steering matrices may also be grouped or sub-sampled prior to being stored. The beamforming steering matrices are decompressed and ungrouped before being applied to data to be transmitted. Prior to ungrouping the beamforming steering matrices, a phase difference between corresponding beamforming steering vectors of consecutive beamforming steering matrices is determined. Phase rotation is performed on the corresponding beamforming steering vectors based on the determined phase difference associated with the corresponding beamforming steering vectors to improve phase continuity between consecutive beamforming steering matrices.

Abstract: A network browser and toolbar objects are described herein. The network browser has a main display area that can display content. The toolbar objects can be on a wagering game toolbar that is a part of the network browser. The toolbar objects indicate information associated with wagering games. The network browser and the toolbar objects can receive and display content. Specifically, the toolbar objects can cross market affiliate content and wagering game content using features of the toolbar.

Abstract: Network attacks, such as a denial of service (DoS) attack, attempt to exhaust server resources and can cause a network to be unavailable for significant periods of time. Although a firewall can be utilized to defend a system from network attacks, the number of incoming connections created can be controlled to defend the system against network attacks. An operating system creates connections, known as sockets, on one or more logical ports. Incoming connections are connections whose creation requests originate from a source outside the operating system. Functionality to control socket creation can be implemented within the operating system, thus allowing a system to be placed directly on a network without a firewall. Implementing defense against network attacks within an operating system reduces the additional cost of having firewall products, and can lead to more efficient network configurations.

Abstract: Data associated with the services in a service oriented architecture are stored in a primary repository and replicated across secondary repositories. Functionality can be implemented to efficiently synchronize data across the primary repository and the secondary repositories. Data synchronization can comprise calculating and comparing hash values of one or more nodes, based in part on concatenated hash values of child nodes and data that comprise the one or more nodes, of a tree structure representing data stored in the repositories.

Abstract: A system includes a first communication module to be coupled to a first transmission medium for distributing power using a voltage waveform having a first amplitude; and a second communication module to be coupled to a second transmission medium for distributing power using a voltage waveform having a second amplitude different from the first amplitude, the second transmission medium being coupled to the first transmission medium. Each of the first and second communication modules is configured to use signals that propagate between the first and second transmission media.

Abstract: A method for establishing shared information is described. The method includes estimating characteristics of a communication channel between two nodes based on signals transmitted between the nodes. The method also includes transmitting a signal from the first node to the second node, the signal being modulated with a first data sequence according to a first estimated characteristic, and transmitting a signal from the second node to the first node, the signal being modulated with a second data sequence according to a second estimated characteristic. Shared information is formed at each of the first and second nodes based on at least a portion of the first data sequence and at least a portion of the second data sequence.

Abstract: A secure mode control device is described herein. The secure mode control device interfaces with a wagering game machine. The wagering game machine is capable of secure modes. The wagering game machine is also capable of wagering game modes that can generate wagering game data. The secure mode control device can detect an event that indicates a need for the wagering game machine to activate a secure mode. The secure mode control device activates the secure mode to halt the one or more wagering game modes on the wagering game machine.

Abstract: A cell broadband engine processor includes a memory a power processing element (PPE) coupled with the memory, and a plurality of synergistic processing elements. The PPE creates a SPE as a computing SPE for an application. The PPE determines idles ones of the plurality of SPEs, and creates an idle one of the plurality SPEs as a managing SPE. Each of the plurality of SPEs is associated with a local storage. The managing SPE informs the computing SPE of a starting effective address of the local storage of the managing SPE and an effective address for a command queue. The managing SPE manages movement of data associated with computing of the computing SPE based on one or more commands associated with the application. A computing SPE sends the one or more commands to the managing SPE for insertion into the command queue.

Abstract: There is a system for selecting a text for output from among multiple texts according to whether or not a phrase is included in the multiple texts. The system includes a determination unit that determines whether or not each of predetermined multiple phrases is included in each of the multiple texts; an index calculation unit that, with respect to each of the multiple phrases, calculates a larger index for a text having the highest of priorities preset among texts including the phrase, then indexes for other texts; and an output unit that selects texts each having a larger sum of sums of the calculated index for each text and outputs a group of the selected texts.

Abstract: Wireless radio devices that communicate in close proximity to each other typically suffer from interference. Such interference between the wireless radio devices can result in performance degradation in either/both the wireless radio devices. Functionality can be implemented to schedule communications of one wireless radio device around communications of the other wireless radio device based on a coexistence table comprising scheduling information of the other wireless radio device. Communications of the wireless radio devices can also be controlled based on communication priorities. Functionality can also be implemented to dynamically control a number of packets transmitted in an aggregate based on the scheduling information.

Abstract: A method and system for automatically displaying electronic documents on a vehicle display screen, is provided. One implementation involves transferring an encrypted digital certificate to a control module in a vehicle, the vehicle including a display screen embedded in a window area of the vehicle, wherein the control module is configured for connection to the display screen; storing the digital certificate in a memory unit of the control module; automatically displaying information on the display screen by: retrieving the digital certificate from the memory unit of the control module; and upon validating the digital certificate in the control module, displaying said information associated with the digital certificate on the display screen.

Calculating memory statistics describing the current state of memory usage of the keydrive may be carried out by calculating a total memory usage of the keydrive. Calculating memory statistics describing the current state of memory usage of the keydrive may also be carried out by calculating a percent of total memory used.

Abstract: A software testing system includes a test interface and a verification interface. The test interface receives a first processing request for the application program under test. The test interface generates a second processing request equivalent to the first processing request, and communicates the first and second processing requests to the application program under test and a model of the application program, respectively. A verification interface compares a first and a second response data set received, respectively, from the application program under test and the model. The verification interface generates an error indication if a difference is determined from the comparison of the first and second response data sets. If a difference is not determined from the comparison, then the verification interface generates a success indication. The verification interface communicates either the success or error indication to the test interface.

Abstract: Systems and methods for using player information in wagering game environments are described herein. In one embodiment a method includes receiving a first set of player information, where the first set of player information indicates casino activities of a player. The method can also include analyzing the first set of player information and a second set of player information to determine preferences and tendencies associated with the player. The method can also include providing an indication of the preferences and tendencies to wagering game network devices.

Abstract: A method, apparatus, and machine-readable medium to implement executable content filtering is disclosed. According to a one example embodiment, a method is provided which comprises analyzing a stream of one or more parsed elements of a network message with a set of one or more executable content filters, wherein the stream of one or more elements are streamed from a network message parser. The described method embodiment further comprises modifying the stream of one or more parsed elements to disable executable content in the network message based, at least in part, on a set of one or more rule sets being applied with the set of one or more executable content filters to the stream of parsed elements.
