Abstract: A device for binding the marginal edge of materials is provided which takes the form of a continuous section of resilient material. The section of the device includes a pair of legs on which the closing force can be released to allow the acceptance of the materials, a spline around which one of the legs pivots to close over the edge of the materials to hold them securely by the material engaging ends of the legs when the closing force is engaged and a latch to lock the legs closed.
Abstract: A medicated intrauterine device insertable in and retained in the uterus for a predetermined time period and having a drug with a controlled release rate and said drug comprising an amiedine or a guanidine such as an aromatic monoamidine or a monoguanidine, an aromatic diamidine or a diguanidine, a non-aromatic monoguanidine or a non-aromatic diamidine or a diguanidine to provide anti-fibrinolytic, anti-proteolytic and/or anti-conceptive action. The drug is one or a mixture of more than one of such amidines or guanidines, or a mixture of one or more of such guanidines with one or more amidines.
Abstract: An improved slide arrangement for mounting between the bottom edge of a drawer and the drawer support. The bearing member formed of sheet material having a coefficient of friction less than 0.25 and having a plurality of bearing sockets. The bearing sockets formed by molding, drilling or perforating the bearing member. A laser can also be used to carve the bearing sockets. A roller or ball bearing is inserted into each socket molded or carved to a preselected size and shape thereby holding the bearing in place. A bearing is placed within each drilled or perforated socket and each socket edge is punched to form a flange around the edge of each socket thereby holding the bearing in place. A reinforcing member formed of sheet material having a coefficient of friction less than 0.25 can be applied to the longitudinal edge of the drawer to present a resilient working edge with a low coefficient of friction to the ball or roller bearings.

Abstract: A gimbaled cup supporting device for holding cups in a level position in a moving vehicle while at the same time isolating the cup from shock and vibration transmitted from the moving vehicle to the support mechanism. A shock absorber is described in which the central portion supports a collar and shaft attached to the cup holding mechanism and an annular ring portion displaced from the central portion is attached to a supporting shaft that is removably attached to the supporting vehicle. The rubber shock absorber isolates the supporting shaft from the gimbaled cup supporter while supporting it in the conventional manner.
