Abstract: A thigh anti-chafing garment to be worn with ordinary undergarments as a supplemental undergarment. The thigh anti-chafing garment includes sleeve members for removably and adjustably positioning around the thighs of a human. The sleeve members are adjustably suspended from a belt or other support adjustably positioned around the waist of the wearer by a plurality of additional supports or straps which are connected between the belt and the sleeve members.

Abstract: Apparatus for charging and desulfating lead-acid batteries provides a DC electrical charging current to the battery terminals to charge the battery to a fully charged voltage during a bulk charge mode. When the battery reaches a fully charged voltage, the apparatus switches to a float charge mode where the battery voltage decreases to a float voltage less than the fully charged voltage and is maintained at this level. When the apparatus is in the float charge mode, the battery charging current is turned rapidly on and off to maintain the battery at the float voltage and to desulfate the battery. When the battery voltage drops to a predetermined value below the float voltage, the bulk charge mode is reentered.

Abstract: Apparatus for use with a bore spud for mounting and positioning a collimator with respect to a sighting device or scope on a firearm for bore sighting the firearm provides for adjustment of the collimator to an unlimited number of linear positions from below the center of the bore spud to positions above the bore spud. Greater bore sighting accuracy and more accurate adjustment of the sighting device or scope of the firearm is attained by enabling the collimator to be elevated and held at a precise location which matches that of the elevation of the sighting device or scope from the center of the firearm bore. The apparatus also enables angular adjustment of the collimator to an unlimited number of positions to permit alignment of the collimator with the firearm sighting device when the sighting device is offset and positioned at a location which is angularly displaced from a location directly above the bore of the firearm.

Abstract: A suturing needle assembly enables simultaneous passage of suture and introduction of local anesthetic into body tissue. Two suturing needle assembly embodiments are described and methods of using the needle assemblies include cystopexy, cystourethropexy, urethropexy and uteropexy procedures.

Abstract: A valve position indicator for visually indicating the open or closed position of a valve from a distance and from various angles includes a support; a hollow, elongated member rotatably mounted on the support; and an indicator member having indicia thereon representative of a valve-open position and a valve-closed position, the indicator member adjustably connected within the elongated member for selectively displaying either the valve-open or the valve-closed indicium.

Abstract: A system and method for tracking the pace of play of a plurality of groups of golfers on a golf course for the purpose of eliminating slow play provides a medium having a plurality of columns of numbers thereon representing expected tee-times for a plurality of golf holes for each of the plurality of groups. An additional column of numbers on the medium represents expected finishing times for each of the plurality of groups, and a second additional column of defined spaces is provided on the medium for inserting identifying indicia for each of the plurality of groups. Actual tee-times of the groups are marked by a golf course advisor in the plurality of columns on the medium as the groups tee-off on various of the golf course holes, and adjacent ones of the marked actual tee-times for each group are connected together by the course advisor by marking straight lines on the medium to provide a graph line showing the actual pace of play of each group.

Abstract: A posterior vaginal retractor for vaginal surgery or procedure includes a flat plate member, a support member connected to the plate member, an arm member vertically adjustably connected to the support member, and a speculum member connected to the arm member. The plate member is positioned under the female patient's buttocks when the patient is on the operating table with legs up. The speculum member is inserted into the vagina, and the position of the speculum member is vertically adjusted to a desired fixed position by vertically moving the arm member so that the speculum member will depress the posterior wall of the vagina to facilitate a vaginal procedure or surgery.

Abstract: A finger protector and grasping implement for fitting over a single finger during surgical procedures includes an elongated, curved, hollow body having a cylindrical wall, a closed end wall connected to the cylindrical wall and defining an open end in opposed relationship with the closed end wall. A plurality of projections of various lengths extend outwardly from the cylindrical wall and from the end wall, and the end wall defines a groove therein to act as a safety stop for preventing undesired slipping movement of a surgical needle during surgical procedures.

Abstract: Apparatus for use with a conventional caulking gun for enabling a user to clean caulk from the user's finger or fingers includes an open-topped receptacle defining an upper edge and a finger-receiving cut-out portion defined within the edge. Clips are connected to the receptacle for cooperating with the caulking gun and removably holding the apparatus in fixed position with respect to the gun so that the user can wipe his finger or fingers across the edge within the cut-out portion to remove caulk from the user's finger and to neatly collect the removed caulk within the receptacle.

Abstract: A system for enabling one-handed loading of an ammunition magazine into an automatic pistol includes a flat support having a stop member at one end and a cover positioned over a portion of the support for attaching the support to a user's belt. A spring-loaded hinge biased toward an open position is connected to the support adjacent to the stop member for limiting movement of the hinge. A magazine holder is removably connected to the hinge for removably receiving and holding an ammunition magazine for an automatic pistol. A cover strap is attached to the cover for facilitating convenient carrying of the ammunition magazine when the cover strap is fastened in place. Release of the cover strap causes movement of the hinge by the spring to position the magazine in a position for facilitating one-handed loading of the magazine into an automatic pistol by the user. The magazine holder can be connected to the hinge for facilitating use by a right-handed or left-handed user.

Abstract: A calendar display includes a flat support defining a plurality of lines of structural weakness. A plurality of stacked sheets bearing weekly and monthly time indicia are removably connected to a front surface of the support adjacent to a first, upper edge of the support. An adhesive strip is located adjacent to a second, lower edge on a back surface of the support, and a magnet is connected to a back surface of the support adjacent to a first, upper edge thereof. Manipulation of the support by bending the support in predetermined directions about the lines of structural weakness and contacting the adhesive strip with the back surface of the support permits the support to be configured as a self-supporting stand for displaying the sheets on a horizontal surface.

Abstract: A bag holder for facilitating placement of leaves, trash, laundry or the like into the open mouth of the bag includes a circular or oval-shaped frame having first and second supports connected to the frame and having first and second bag fastening members connected to the supports. The frame defines first and second bag-receiving notches, and the fastening members and notches are positioned at four corners of an imaginary rectangle or trapezoid. A handle is connected to the frame, and a clamp and stop are connected to the handle. A bag mouth can be placed over the circular or oval frame and pulled tightly around the rectangle or trapezoid formed by the fastening members and notches with an excess, gathered portion of the bag held between the clamp and stop so that the bag mouth is held open in a substantially rectangular or trapezoidal configuration for easy access to the interior of the bag.

Abstract: A reflector device that is easily attached and/or removed from a boat's anchor lightpole, deck railing, or any other suitably sized exterior feature. The device "shines" only when illuminated by the spot/search light of an approaching boat, to provide a visual identification in dark or unfavorably lit conditions. The device supplements, but does not replace traditional electric or battery operated anchor lights, and serves as a stand-by should the traditional light fail. The device is passive, activated only when illuminated by the spot/search light of an approaching vessel.

Abstract: An animal bed or cot for dogs or other pets includes a frame-supported fabric upon which the dog rests. The frame includes a plurality of pipes connected together at corners by three-way elbow fittings. Each frame pipe defines a narrow slit with an interior awning track extending along the length of each pipe. The fabric is inaccessible to chewing by attachment of the fabric to the awning tracks inside of the pipes. The diameter of the frame pipes is sized to prevent a dog from getting its mouth around the frame pipes and into the fabric. The fabric also fits inside of the elbow fittings so there are no open gaps between the frame and fabric to permit a dog to bite the fabric.

Abstract: A portable cooler includes an open-topped container having a cover and wherein the cover defines a hollow cavity therein for removably receiving and holding a table within the cavity. The table is provided with folding legs at one end, and the other table end is configured to be matingly received and supported by either one of two handles of the cooler.

Abstract: The amusement exercise system of the present invention, features a new physical workout system and a new ball-shooter. The workout system emulates a fighting (combat) environment where the player (the person who workouts) fights against the ball shooter. The player throws balls at the ball-shooter while the ball-shooter shoots at the player with a plurality of different-colored balls (to signal different defensive actions by the player) and with pseudo-random striking positions. A ball-collecting net is erected behind the player to collect balls shooting from the ball-shooter. Similarly, a ball-collecting target is erected at the shooter to collect balls thrown by the player. Scores are kept by counting balls inside the net and the target after each fighting run.

Abstract: An oral device and method for slowing down the rate of food ingestion, thereby aiding digestion, assimilation, and allowing time for raising blood sugar and achieving satiety sooner, with less food consumption over a given period of time. The device consists of any means for lowering the normally vaulted area of the roof of the mouth. In the preferred embodiment, the vault lowering means includes a molded piece which fits against the palate, and retaining wires to secure the piece to the teeth, while avoiding interference with the teeth on occlusion. The method and apparatus for lowering of the vault reduces the amount of food which can be comfortably ingested per bite. In use, the device allows the user to freely move his tongue and jaws, to talk, to breath, to drink, and to chew food. The method includes altering temporarily the configuration of the palate by lowering the vaulted area of the roof, to reduce the volume in the mouth available for food and reducing the food intake.

Abstract: A free-standing, collapsible, three-dimensional wire framework and light supporting display for use as a light sculpture includes a plurality of wire frame assemblies hingedly connected to each other for enabling the framework and display to be quickly and easily unfolded and erected for use. Each of the wire frame assemblies defines a portion of a figure, such as a deer, and the wire frame assemblies can be quickly and easily folded together into a compact configuration for transport and/or storage.

Abstract: An adjustable and removable accessory floor mat system for protecting different sizes and shapes of vehicle floors includes first and second flexible, flat mats having flexible walls extending upwardly from predetermined edges of the mats. A plurality of vehicle carpet engaging projections extend downwardly from predetermined areas of lower surfaces of the mats, and the mats are of predetermined dimensions whereby one mat can be positioned at least partially onto the other mat in an adjustable manner to provide a tray-like configuration.
