Abstract: According to certain embodiments of the invention, a pressure washing system delivers a cleaning fluid under pressure to a surface to be cleaned, and includes a fluid pump unit for supplying the fluid to the surface. A fluid collector captures wastewater runoff of the cleaning fluid on the surface to be cleaned. The vacuum pump unit withdraws the captured waste fluid from the fluid collector.

Abstract: A kit, a needle receiving object and aids, as well as a method of using them, are disclosed for practicing hypodermic needle insertion techniques. At least one aid is disclosed for use with a needle receiving object to facilitate practicing needle insertions. The aid includes at least one template having anatomical landmark indicia and needle insertion site indicia. The needle insertion site indicia is disposed within the confines of the landmark indicia, wherein the needle insertion site indicia serves as a guide for proper needle insertion.

The garden bed assembly includes at least one raised garden bed planter box for containing suitable planting soil or other growing media. The assembly as disclosed herein includes a fence for at least partially surrounding the box, and includes a series of fence sections. Each section has an open rigid frame and an open mesh material such as poultry wire or hardware cloth, extending thereacross to permit sunlight as well as pollinating bees to enter the assembly while prohibiting unwanted creatures such as a gophers, rabbits and other animals from gaining access to the growing plants in the garden bed box.

Abstract: A garden bed assembly and extensions therefor is disclosed. The garden bed assembly includes at least one raised garden starter module containing suitable planting soil or other growing media for plants and may be extended using one or more extender modules, such as straight extender modules and/or corner extender modules. The assembly as disclosed herein includes one or more modules defining the planter. The front section of the starter module and the straight extender module may include a rotatable upper portion to provide convenient access to the plants. Each module section may have a substantially imperforate lower portion and a perforate upper portion prohibiting unwanted creatures such as gophers, rabbits and other animals from gaining access to the growing plants in the garden bed assembly.

Abstract: The enterprise healthcare management system and method includes a novel healthcare management system. The healthcare management system includes a server system connected to a plurality of enterprise facilities. A master index and a shared document repository on the server facilitate positively identifying patients and confidently associating that patient with proper medical records. The method of using the system also facilitates finding where in the enterprise a patient is located, and identifying available patient records. Healthcare practitioners also use the healthcare management system to access a patient treatment plan system, irrespective of which enterprise facility presently has the patient or which enterprise treatment plan system operates the patient treatment plan.

Abstract: A system and method is disclosed which relates to reading test strips. The method may include reading and storing initial values of a front photodiode and a rear photodiode, reading current values of the front and rear photodiodes, detecting at least one change between initial and current values in the front or the rear photodiodes, comparing the detected value change of one of the photodiodes with the value of the other photodiode, and determining a condition of the test strip in response to the resulting comparison.

Abstract: A method and system is disclosed which relates to controlling a stationary gaseous-fueled internal combustion engine. The method may include measuring an air to fuel ratio of the engine, calculating a difference between the measured air to fuel ratio and a desired air to fuel ratio for the engine, and automatically controlling an air to fuel mixture supplied to the engine in accordance with the calculated difference to enable the engine to run at substantially the desired air to fuel ratio.

Abstract: A media storage organizer and method as disclosed relate to a storage device for attachment to a support structure to hold a collection of media objects in a side-by-side generally upright manner. At least one organizer mount secures a media object support transversely to the support structure and helps the support to move along a path of travel generally parallel to the plane of the media objects. A stop limits the forward movement of the support to a display position. In one embodiment, at lease one retainer may be disposed above the media object support and spaced from an end thereof for engaging a media object to help limit the number of media objects positioned on the media object support.

Abstract: A method and system are disclosed. The system may include a device for sharpening a convex edge on the blade of a knife. The device may include a resilient material and a plurality of abrasive sheets of varying grit values. Each abrasive sheet may be removably attachable to a top of the resilient material. The method may include placing the blade against the abrasive surface at a small angle with a first side of an edge to be sharpened of the blade contacting the abrasive surface and a spine of the blade elevated above the abrasive surface, applying a downward force on the blade causing the edge to be sharpened to compress the resilient abrasive surface, and moving the first side of the edge to be sharpened along the abrasive surface in the direction of the spine.

Abstract: Mobile clinicians conduct in-home patient visits utilizing on-site diagnostic and treatment equipment, where service is enhanced by the use of portable computing and communications equipment. Initially, a mobile care entity provides a network of predesignated mobile clinicians, each having the use of a preprogrammed portable computer. Each computer is coupled to a wireless communications device, and includes local storage of patient data. Whenever the mobile care entity receives requests for medical service at a patient's premises, the entity selects a mobile clinician and dispatches him/her to the patient's premises. The clinician visits the patient's premises accompanied by an assortment of electronic diagnostic and treatment devices. To examine the patient, the doctor utilizes various diagnostic devices to prepare machine-readable reports of related aspects of the patient's condition.

Abstract: An improved carbonated protein beverage/drink composition which provides a relatively high protein content, ranging from about 2% by weight to about 15% by weight, while simultaneously employing a carbonation concentration between about 0.1 volumes of carbonation (per volume of liquid drink solution or liquid drink suspension) to about 4 volumes of carbonation. Preferably the protein is whey protein. The carbonated protein beverage has been heat treated to inactivate microbes in the presence of the carbonation which is used to provide taste and mouth feel for the drink. Typically, the treatment for microbe inactivation is carried out in the individual package used for storage and handling of the carbonated protein drink.
