  • Patent number: 6527173
Abstract: The CGH (computer generated hologram) readout section (4) reproduces an image of the CGH (28), which is formed in the data storage area (52) of the crude card (26). The CGH certifying section (5) judges whether the card is genuine or fake and obtains an ID (identification) information. In a case that the card is genuine, the ID information is supplied to the data processing section (6). The data processing section (6) inputs a personal information of a person to be a cardholder and also inputs a face picture of the person. These data are registered in the database (2) in response to the ID information. A part of or all of the personal information is outputted to the IC reader/writer (8) and written into the IC module (53). Further, a part of the personal information and the face picture are outputted to the color printer (7) as a printing information and printed on the surface of the crude card (26).

  • Patent number: 6529374
Abstract: An electronic apparatus of the present invention has an electric fan in a casing. This electric fan generates air current between circuit substrates. The air current passes through the left-side gaps between the circuit substrates, and reaches the backside face of the electronic apparatus. The air current then passes through a power source substrate attached to a backside panel, and moves to the right. The air current then moves along the right-side inner surface and returns to the front side. The returned air is guided by a plurality of inner fins and then supplied to the electric fan. The heat generated in the casing is cooled by the air current circulating in the casing, and then conducted to the entire inner wall of the casing. The heat of the casing is then released into the atmospheric air through radiation fins arranged on the front face of the casing, the left and right side faces of the casing, and the front face of an open-close cover.

  • Patent number: 6496463
Abstract: In a disk apparatus, a movable-base position sensing switch (169) is provided such that the sensing switch is turned from ON state into OFF state at a time a turntable (20) of a movable base (13) is separated from a clamper (16) during movement of the movable base (13) to an unclamped position. A motor (91) is controlled (190, 191, S12-S20) so that a driving force of the motor is used to move a tray and/or to move the movable base through a drive device. The motor is actuated in a first direction to move the movable base to the unclamped position for a first period from the time the position sensing switch is turned into OFF state. The motor is actuated in a reverse direction for a second period from an end of the first period. The driving of the motor is stopped for a third period from an end of the second period. • Patent number: 6490404
Abstract: In case that a skipping section is provided by editing in a recording region other than a recording region for block data in an information recording medium recorded with at least more than one collation table of time recording location, which is composed of more than one collation data by each fixed time interval and time compensating data, a collation table of time recording location is read out from the information recording medium and divided in response to a designated skipping period. A collation data, which assigns block data of designated skipping period, are deleted. A second time compensating data is calculated in response to the skipping period. Combining the second time compensating data with collation data succeeding the deleted collation data composes a new collation table of time recording location.

  • Patent number: 6487720
Abstract: When a received broadcast signal is received in a digital broadcast signal receiving apparatus, an entitlement management message EMM representing broadcast-watching enabling information is extracted from the received digital broadcast signal in an EMM extracting unit regardless of any operation. An extracted digital broadcast signal already descrambled in a preceding step is recorded in a recording unit. When a user selects a reproducing operation in a current step, particular digital broadcast information indicating a particular television program is extracted from the extracted digital broadcast signal in a packet extracting unit. Therefore, the particular television program can be reproduced.
