  • Patent number: 4574967
Abstract: A sealing cap for a container provided with a safety valve is described, this sealing cap consisting of a bottom part which can be screwed onto the container neck and firmly locked there and of a top part which can be screwed onto the bottom part. The bottom part serves to seal absolutely the container neck provided with the safety valve, by compressing, in a moisture-tight manner, the joint between the edge of the container neck and a molding forming the valve support. The bottom part, fixed in position by retaining tabs and detent lugs, and capable of being loosened only by force, remains fixedly connected to the container during use. The top part can be unscrewed.

  • Patent number: 4573793
Abstract: A spectrophotometer wherein in order to set the instrument to a designated wavelength, the monochromator is first set to the designated wavelength position intended to be as such on the monochromator, and the entrance and exit slits of the monochromator are widened so as to measure a beam of light having a spectrum with an emission line at the designated wavelength, and the sensitivity of the light measuring circuit is so adjusted that the output therefrom is kept at a predetermined constant level, and then the slits are narrowed, whereupon wavelength scanning is conducted over a range of wavelengths including the designated wavelength so as to detect a peak in the emission line spectrum, and then the dispersing element is set to the detected peak position.A microcomputer controls the above operation in a sequential manner.

  • Patent number: 4572897
Abstract: Immobilized enzyme granules prepared by mixing inert filler particles into an aqueous solution or dispersion of a water soluble binder, followed by granulating the mixture so as to form carrier granules. Enzyme is immobilized on the hydrophilic surfaces of the carrier granules. If not already insoluble in the medium for the intended enzymatic reaction, the binder in the granules is rendered insoluble, e.g., water insoluble.Proteins are preferred binder materials, and glutaraldehyde is the preferred reagent for bonding enzyme to the carrier granules and for water insolubilizing the binder.

  • Patent number: 4563238
Abstract: A process for chemically deburring a workpiece, comprising the steps of: coating the workpiece with a soluble masking material, allowing the masking material to pull away from sharp projections on the workpiece, such as burrs or edges, so that the sharp projections are thinly coated or not coated, exposing the coated workpiece to a corrosive solution so that the thinly or not coated sharp projections are chemically attacked by the corrosive solution, and stopping the chemical attack of the corrosive solution. These steps may be repeated, as necessary, until the sharp projections or burrs are removed or edges are sufficiently milled.

  • Patent number: 4560584
Abstract: In accordance with one embodiment of the invention, solder masking material is pressurized by means of a fluid pump to approximately 250 psi and a high speed valve is used to turn the flow on and off rapidly in order that small "shots" of fluid are propelled from a tip, through the air, to selected portions of a circuit board. The selected areas of the circuit board to be masked are situated oppositely from the tip, as by a XY positioning system for the tip and/or the circuit board. The drops of masking material, which form upon impinging of the shots onto the circuit board, may be varied in volume and diameter. Where needed, a continuous bead of masking material may be formed on the circuit board by spacing the dots sufficiently close together.

  • Patent number: 4550008
Abstract: A method and apparatus for molding plastic products of virtually any complicated configuration is provided. When a parison is extruded out of a nozzle, a separating agent, preferably oil, is supplied into the parison as a lubricant. Since a thin film of the separating agent is formed on the inside surface of the parison, portions of the inside surface do not stick together even if they are brought into contact from some reasons. This insures to mold a plastic product of a very complex configuration. Use of a separating agent also allows to form sheet-type products by dividing the parison into several sections as desired. This is a very efficient way of forming sheet-type products since at least two may be formed at the same time.

  • Patent number: 4547066
Abstract: An exposure apparatus has a shelf structure, an exposure base and a movable frame. The shelf structure receives a plurality of palettes on which filmy bodies, such as mask films, are placed. Each palette can be moved vertically together with a partition plate, and it can be moved on the upper surface of the exposure base when it is made flush with the surface as the exposure base abuts on the shelf structure. Each palette is provided with a recession and a notch on its front end for abutting engagement with pins on the exposure base in order to achieve an automatic positioning. The movable frame is allowed to move only vertically and provided with hangers each having a sucking disk for attracting a filmy body. A mask film, sheets of original patterns and a raw film are successively stacked on the exposure base by virtue of vertical movements of the frame and reciprocation of the palettes on the exposure base. A light source for exposure is installed within the exposure base.
