Abstract: A drawer for the storage, display, and dispensing apparatus for dispensing tickets of various sizes without the use of moving parts. The dispensing apparatus includes a bin for storing tickets and a dispensing slot utilizing tension arms to guide and control the dispensing of tickets.
Abstract: A portable electronic long distance telephonic access assembly that includes an automatic dialing device for producing a long distance telephone number and a personal identification number and a carrier with machine readable data corresponding to the personal identification number for use in activating the number with a long distance telephone service provider.
Abstract: An improved dispenser for displaying and dispensing lottery tickets utilizes a dispensing slot with tension arms to provide tension to tickets of varying thicknesses. The dispensing slot is cut into a door at an end of a box-like structure, which holds the tickets. Tension arms extend from the bottom of the slot into notches at the top of the slot such that the slot is narrower than the thickness of the tickets. Because the tension arms are also flexible, tickets of varying thickness can pass through the slot without becoming stuck.
Abstract: The stalk strength tester of the present invention includes an internal shaft and an external shaft in telescopic relationship. Pivotally associated with the upper end of the internal shaft is a trough-like stalk cradle. A set of measurement markers are on the upper end of the internal shaft and a rubber ring is around the internal shaft and abuts the external shaft. Associated with the other end of the internal shaft is a tension member. A tension adjustment structure is provided for adjusting the tension in the tension member. In operation, a stalk is positioned into the cradle and the tester is pushed against it. The internal shaft telescopically slides against the tension member and into the external shaft until the cradle pivots at which time the rubber ring remains in a position relative to one of the markers as an indicator of the tension measured.
Abstract: A puzzle apparatus comprising a first plurality of puzzle pieces that form a picture when combined together that includes a representation of at least one cartoon character, a magnet associated with at least one of the puzzle pieces, a platform on which the puzzle pieces can be arranged, a detector for sensing the magnet and sound generating apparatus for producing audible sounds corresponding to the character shown on the puzzle pieces.
Abstract: A retail display rack having vertically adjustable upper and lower display arms associated with a tubular housing structure that is vertically oriented for mounting the upper and lower arms thereon at selectable heights.
Abstract: A guidance system for controlling the steering of a swing arm on a center pivot irrigation system is provided through the use of two satellite signal receiving antennas associated with a drive tower for the swing arm. The signal receiving antennas are mounted from the swing tower so that one of the antennas is in a position forwardly of a steerable wheel for the tower and the other antenna is located in a position rearwardly of the steerable wheel. The signal receiving antennas are mounted in such fashion that they rotate in a direct relation to the steering of the steerable wheel so as to provide position information for the steering of the drive tower that more efficiently and effectively maintains the drive tower on a desired path of travel.
Abstract: An electrical neon display device that allows for the interchangeability of the material being displayed and includes a power track, a track head and at least one display member that is semi-permanently electrically connected to said track head and includes a neon tube that is preferably shaped in the configuration of a desired letter or design to be displayed by said device.
Abstract: A directional side dump trailer having a wheeled frame for supporting a containment tub for receiving material to be dumped, which tub is releasably attached to the frame by locks, and at least a pair of power cylinders secured to the tub and the trailer and located generally below the containment tub.
Abstract: A storage, display and dispensing apparatus for tickets of various sizes that accounts for the tickets dispensed during a selected time period. The apparatus includes a bin housing for storing a pack of tickets, a ticket dispensing assembly through which the tickets are dispensed and includes a friction wheel assembly that is actuated as tickets pass through the ticket dispensing assembly. An optical sensing element is also employed to sense indicia on the tickets to coact with the friction wheel assembly to provide a ticket count.

Abstract: The panel branch disclosed is used with an artificial tree. The panel branch includes a plurality of twigs, a channel element, a number of inserts, and a hook-like member. Each twig is inserted through an aperture in the insert and the insert, in turn, is placed in and secured in the channel element. The hook-like member has a short side used to secure the branch to an artificial trunk and a long side secured in the channel element. Optical fibres are associated with the twigs of the panel branch. Each optical fiber is threaded through an aperture in an insert and gathered into a bundle. A socket with a light source is provided to receive the bundle of optical fibres such that the branch is lighted.
Abstract: The present invention provides an artificial tree for use outdoors that includes a tree with trunk, branches and twigs protected from moisture penetration and a plurality of optical fibers also protected from the outside element. A housing encloses a light source assembly and a fan with a hood for protection from overheating. The housing includes a sloped overhang for moisture protection. A collar with a transparent closed end is inserted into an opening in the housing. The trunk of the tree fits into the collar with its bottom end and one end of every fiber abutting the transparent closed end of the collar. When the light source assembly is on, the tree is lit by the optical fibers and the light assembly is protected from moisture and overheating. An added protective feature is that the housing sits on legs such that there is clearance between the housing and the ground.
Abstract: An apparatus for serving as a cover for a window well associated with a window of a building and including a frame member having two vertically spaced apart inwardly extending projections, a retainer assembly that serves as a connection between the frame member and the building and also has a pair of vertically spaced apart outwardly extending projections, at least one support beam extending between and supported by the lower most projections, and a protective cover member overlying the support means and having edge portions received within the spaces between the projections of the frame member and the retainer assembly.
Abstract: The invention provides a magnetic motor wherein a plurality of rotor magnets are positioned along a rotor which is mounted to a shaft. A plurality of drive magnets are movably positioned generally adjacent to the rotor magnets. Relative motion of the drive magnets into and out of juxtaposed positions with the rotor magnets controls relative torque of the shaft. The drive magnets are electrically pulsed through a timing assembly.
Abstract: The present invention provides a decorative tree with an electronic light controller, which tree includes at least two separate and independent sets of light elements and a control unit that is adapted to receive electrical power from a power source and supply such power to each of the light element sets in a desired selectable sequence to provide a variety of different types of light displays for the tree.
Abstract: The composite window frame structural member provides an elongated structural member comprising a polymer and wood fiber composition suitable for use and the manufacture of a window frame to be embedded in a concrete wall to define an opening therein and includes a top surface defining one side of the opening and a bottom surface that has at least two longitudinally extending concrete engaging members formed with an outer end and an inner end arcuately undercut to permit an even flow of concrete about the tendons as the concrete wall is poured.
