Abstract: To make a shaped article, a decorative paper whose cotton linters content is at least 10 wt % and can be as high as 100 wt % of the total fiber content in the paper is impregnated with a cross-linkable aminoplastic resin, applied on a carrier of wood-based material and formed to a three-dimensional structure under pressure and at elevated temperature while the resin undergoes cross-linking.

Abstract: A sewing machine comprises: a head portion having a sewing needle driven to vertically reciprocate; a lower shaft having a shuttle connected thereto which is driven to rotate synchronized with the vertical movement of the sewing needle cooperating to form stitches; a table positioned above the lower shaft; a retainer positioned above the table to retain a material for forming stitches thereon; a holding frame placed parallel to the table, the head portion being mounted at a position on the holding frame; and supporting posts adapted to support opposite ends of the holding frame for positioning the holding frame above the table. The sewing machine allows a material to be sewn, which is retained retainer, to be easily mounted or removed.

Abstract: A pipework containment system comprising: (i) an outer containment pipe extending between a chamber and a sump; (ii) a fluid-tight seal between the outer containment pipe and the chamber; (iii) a fluid-tight seal between the outer containment pipe and the sump; (iv) a plurality of flexible supply pipes extending between said chamber and said sump; characterized in that the plurality of supply pipes are contained within one and the same outer containment pipe, the arrangement of supply pipes within the outer pipe and the flexibility of the supply pipes being such that each individual supply pipe may be withdrawn from the system and/or replaced after construction of the pipework containment system is complete.

Abstract: A portable foot operated exercise device includes a somewhat elastic fabric base having spaced apart foot sleeves on an upper surface thereof and removable sliding pads on the lower surface thereof. According to the presently preferred embodiment, the base is made of NEOPRENE™, and two pairs of sliding pads are provided. One pair is made of hard plastic and the other pair is made of fleece or a fleece-like material. The pads are preferably provided with a VELCRO® backing and the base is preferably provided with mating VELCRO® on the lower surface beneath the foot sleeves.

Abstract: A snap-together poster frame includes a plurality of edge supports, each comprising a plurality of segments having a slotted, channel-shaped cross-sectional profile to define a single opening having an unobstructed mouth for receiving an edge of a poster board. The segments include a top wall, a bottom wall and a sidewall joining the top and bottom walls. The edge support is resilient and the sidewall includes a generally L-shaped instep by which it is joined to the bottom wall having three flex points which allows the opening to adjust to the width of the posterboard inserted therein, thereby retaining the edge of the poster board via an interference fit.

Abstract: An exercise device for improving head, neck, and spinal alignment preferably includes a bracket having a pair of spaced apart pulleys and a U-shaped base which is adapted to fit over a door, a rope having at least one hand grip attached to one end and a coupler attached to the other end, and a head harness having at least one coupler for mating with the coupler on the rope. The apparatus is used by coupling the bracket to a door, attaching the harness to the user's head and coupling the rope to the harness. From either a standing or sitting position, the user pulls on the hand grip(s) to effect a lifting of the harness. According to the presently preferred embodiment, the location of the pulleys is adjustable to suit the user and the harness is provided with both front and rear couplers.

Abstract: A fluteless pyramid point drill for spotting holes for drills having an included angle from 90-160°. The preferred tool is double ended. Another embodiment features the pyramid point on the back end of a penetrating drill. An enhanced pyramid point geometry enables construction from technical ceramics. These embodiments included a notched pyramid, a dual pyramid, a beveled pyramid, and an eccentric pyramid. Another embodiment utilizes a grooved-body hollow pyramid for reaming holes. Geometries for a single sided penetrating drill for drilling hardened materials include a limited flute with a flute depth of ? the drill diameter. Point angle embodiments include a 0-20° primary cutting edge and a steeper relief angle with a negative rake along the edge, a radial edge and steep relief angle with a negative rake along this edge. Additionally a pyramid point may be superimposed on the dual point angle for superior centering guidance.

Abstract: A battery operated flexible massage device includes a ball-and-socket modular plastic spine and an electric vibrator unit, covered by a flexible foam tube. The tube containing the spine and the vibrator unit is covered with a padded fabric cylindrical shell. The ends of the shell are provided with zippers which allow access to battery compartments. According to the presently preferred embodiment, the vibrator unit is centrally located adjacent to the flexible plastic spine. Two battery compartments are provided, one at each end of the tube, each for containing two AA batteries. A control switch is mounted adjacent to one of the battery compartments.

Abstract: A filtration apparatus includes a filter element disposed at a 45 degree angle defining an upper chamber for solids and a lower chamber for liquid. A trough is disposed at the lower end of the filter element. The floor of the trough funnels toward a central drain and an overflow drain is located approximately 8 inches above the trough floor. The lower chamber is provided with a drain for recirculating water to a sprayer above the filter element and is also provided with an overflow drain approximately 8 inches above the floor.

Abstract: A filtration apparatus includes a laundry waste sump, a primary 50 micron static screen filter, a 9,000 gallon equalization tank, at least one secondary media/carbon filter, a sludge holding tank with a pump to return excess water to the equalization tank, a backwash pump, an air blower, and a clear well tank water source for backwash. An exemplary embodiment of the invention also includes a surge tank between the primary and secondary filters and a surge tank between the secondary filter and the clear well tank.

Abstract: An embroidery machine can simultaneously embroider sewing objects having various shapes, including a flat object, an object having a shape of a usual processed cloth, an object having a shape of a cap, etc. The embroidery machine comprises a plurality of sewing heads grouped into at least two working groups, and the embroidering frames, each of which is arranged for one of the working groups. The embroidering frames have structures either identical to each other or different from each other. Therefore, one conventional embroidery machine can simultaneously embroider more than one kind of sewing objects, including at least two of a flat sewing object, a tubular sewing object, and a cap-shaped sewing object.

Abstract: A neutron generator includes a modular arrangement of a high current electron bombardment ion source, providing deuterium(D) and/or tritium(T) ions, a high voltage acceleration stage to accelerate the ions and raise the ion energy to the order of 100 keV, and an occluded reaction target containing T and/or D to produce the nuclear reactions. Neutrons are produced in the target using the D—D and/or D-T reaction. The invention is designed to allow the target to be located at the end of a needle and thereby is useful for treating cancers by the Brachy therapy method. The ion source of the neutron generator is a modified version of the electron bombardment type used in mass spectrometers for gas analysis. This source uses an electron beam running through an ionization chamber to ionize gas molecules that are extracted out of the chamber by electric fields.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing a multi-cell tube having two or more cells, which are repeatedly formed in longitudinal and circumferential directions of the tube in such a manner that fluid can be separately or simultaneously let into and/or out of the respective cells. The multi-cell tube comprises a cell unit including a plurality of cells arranged in one direction of the tube and have corresponding inlets in a direction intersecting with the direction in which the cells are arranged; a supply tube unit which has an opening/closing valve at any one side end thereof and communicates with the inlets of all the cells in a state where the supply tube unit is close to the cells; and an operating tube unit, made of inflatable material (e.g. rubber, plastics or the like), which is installed within the supply tube unit, and has an opening/closing valve at any one side end thereof.

The game comprises a display having a plurality of indicia, displayed in a plurality of rows and columns initially in two dimensions. The rows and columns combine to form a predetermined two dimensional shaped display so each of the rows include one or more of the indicia. When one or more of the columns spin in a generally vertical plane responsive to a spin command and at the completion of the spinning in the vertical plane and contingent upon a required result, at least one of the rows are capable of spinning in a generally horizontal plane.
