  • Patent number: 7975461
Abstract: A harvesting apparatus for row crops that includes a self-propelled carrier unit and a harvesting device. The carrier unit is a motor-driven vehicle. The harvesting device consists of an upper frame in sliding engagement with a pair of vertical members coupled to a cutting platform, lifting means for raising and lowering the cutting platform, and means for positioning the cutting platform along the length of the upper frame. The cutting platform includes a base having opposing ends, each end having a pair of base guides that define a longitudinal passage, a cutter blade assembly having a blade with a cutting edge, which cutting edge is in communication with the longitudinal passage such that when the blade is in use, and when a tobacco plant passes along the longitudinal passage the blade will cut the plant by a slicing operation. The frame further includes front and rear wheel assemblies, and a shield that is attached to each of the vertical members.

  • Patent number: 7841123
Abstract: A waterfowl feeding decoy having a body mounted to a motor, and a box member that includes a pivotally attached top member such that opening the top member allows access to a chamber disposed within the box member, and closing the top member forms a watertight seal between the top member and the box member. A power source is disposed in the chamber, and electrical wires extend from the power source up through an aperture and are electrically connected to the motor. The box member serves as a watertight storage means for the power source and further serves as an anchor for anchoring the decoy at a selected location.

  • Patent number: 7828261
Abstract: A molten metal pump apparatus that includes a base member, at least two (2) support members or posts, and post sockets. The lower end of the posts are mounted to the base and forms a cement-less pump joint which is an objective of the present invention. The upper end of the post is connected to the post socket to form a cement-less pump joint which is a further object of the present invention. The connection joint between the posts and the base member and the post socket does not require cement to form or secure the joint. Therefore a replacement post identical to posts of the present invention may be provided without the need to dig out a cement joint but instead can be more easily removed and replaced.

  • Patent number: 7600576
Abstract: A road drag for medium and heavy grading projects is provided. The road drag includes a pair of side members and front, center and rear transverse bars that define a rectangular shaped platform. A V-member is disposed adjacent each corner of the platform and steel blades are attached to a first arm of each of the V-members in a downward direction. A center V-member is further attached to the center bar. Steel blades are further attached to ends of the center V-member in a downward direction. A tail board is secured to a pair of extensions that extend from the rear bar of the platform that defines a rear section. The rear section includes means to prevent the tail board from bouncing or hopping during application in order to better distribute material during use. The road drag further includes an axle and preferably dual wheels near or adjacent the tail board.

  • Patent number: 7473831
Abstract: A stringed musical instrument having a back, a side and a first sound board that form a sound box. The back, side and first sound board further define an enclosed resonant cavity within the sound box. A bridge is positioned on the surface of the first sound board on a side of the hole opposite a neck for attaching strings. A second sound board is positioned in opposition in a spaced relation to the first sound board within the cavity of the sound box, sandwiched in spaced relation between the back and the first sound board. The first and second sound boards each having a hole formed therein. The bridge further includes a sound transfer bar vertically disposed between the first sound board and the second sound board. The sound transfer bar effectively transfers vibrations from the first sound board to the second sound board and further equalizes any upward or downward pull by the bridge caused by the tension of the strings.

  • Patent number: 7462768
Abstract: An improved guitar pick or plectrum for use with a stringed musical instrument. The improved pick has a substantially planar central gripping portion and at least one and not more than four substantially planar picking wing portions peripherally extending, one each in a respective different longitudinal direction from the central gripping portion. In application, only one of the wing portions may be used at any one time. The wing portions can include an end surface having a different jagged or serrated picking edge formed of at least two and not more than four peak members adapted for strumming or plucking the strings of a stringed instrument so that each of the peak members strike the string in rapid sequence.

  • Patent number: 7448444
Abstract: A tubing rotator assembly that attaches to a casing head to suspend and rotate a tubing string in an oil well. The tubing assembly includes a rotation surface, such as a bearing, in which a tubing mandrel rests and allows one to rotate the tubing manually above the wellhead, and a mandrel bowl that rests inside the casing head. A tubing mandrel is partially contained within the mandrel bowl with one end exiting the bowl and attached to the tubing string, and the opposite end exiting the top of the bowl. A ledge of the tubing mandrel is supported on the bearing, which bearing rests on the interior ledge of the mandrel bowl. The assembly provides a low profile reducing the distance between the casing head and the pumping tee to eliminate the need to raise the pumping unit to fit on the rotator.

  • Patent number: 7445704
Abstract: An above ground oil and water separator including a pump to draw potentially contaminated water from a containment area, and to supply a flow of water to an enclosure. An enclosure inlet pipe takes water from the diaphragm pump into the enclosure. A first sub-enclosure is formed within the enclosure by a wall containing a plurality of coalescing spheres. The coalescing spheres are bagged within the first wall and can be removed through an external lid during cleaning and removal of coalesced oil. A heat source contained within an electrical panel heats water and supplies the heated water to the enclosure to prevent freezing within the enclosure.

  • Patent number: 7389785
Abstract: A frame tent system having a plurality of upright columns, a plurality of eave members, and a plurality of rafters. The plurality of members are inter-connected by a system of novel eave weldments. The eave weldment is preferably a four-way connector unit interconnecting the frame members of the tent system at major points of connection to form the frame tent system. The eave weldment is formed of a weldment plate and an insert tube disposed perpendicular to the weldment plate. The frame members of the tent system each include a channel for releasably receiving ends of the eave weldment. In particular, the channel disposed in the rafter receives a first end of the weldment plate; the channel disposed in the upright column receives a second end of the weldment plate; the channel disposed in the eave members receive an end of the insert tube thereby forming the frame tent system.
