Abstract: A carburetor for combustion engines, having upstream of an arbitrarily operated throttle valve, an additional throttling element which is controlled automatically by a membrane unit operated by underpressure of vacuum in accordance with air flow. The additional throttling element controls a fuel jet by means of a needle. The discharge location of the fuel jet is at a point where essentially the same underpressure prevails as in the mixing chamber formed between throttle valve and throttling element. In an enrichment system for the heating phase the fuel jet is controlled by a needle whose variable position is determined by the position of a temperature-sensitive element via a lever, and the fuel quantity for acceleration is varied by means of a second membrane unit. The discharge location of this enrichment system is downstream of the throttling element. The second membrane unit may be actuated by underpressure and may have a pressure chamber closed by a movable membrane loaded by a spring.
Abstract: An anti-skid brake control device and associated method in which the device includes a wheel cylinder having defined therein a first hydraulic chamber connected with a brake fluid line extending from the master cylinder and a second hydraulic chamber connected with a pressure controlling fluid circuit. As the brake fluid line is isolated from the pressure controlling circuit by the output member of the wheel cylinder, the brake system can operate effectively, though in a conventional manner, should oil leakage occur in the controlling circuit. On a four-wheeled vehicle, each pair of front or rear wheel cylinders can be served by a common arrangement of such pressure controlling circuit for anti-skid control.
Abstract: A caliper supporting device in which a caliper is connected to a bracket through a first slide pin and a second slide pin so that the caliper arranged so as to sit astride of a part of the brake disc may be moved in a direction of a rotating axis of the brake disc. A resilient grommet for resiliently supporting the second slide pin only lengthwise thereof is mounted in a supporting hole in the form of an elongated hole. The second slide pin is directly brought into contact with a side wall of the supporting hole by a braking torque acting on the caliper.
Abstract: A method for detecting surface and subsurface flaws in rolled products in which an indicator coating is applied to the surface of a rolled product, whereupon the coated surface is heated with high-frequency currents. The high-frequency heating produces a temperature gradient between good and defective portions of the blank, which is sufficient to bring about a thermochemical transformation of the indicator coating over the defective areas, accompanied by a change in the color of the coating in those areas. Dark spots on the light coating indicate the locations of surface and subsurface flaws. The sharp images of flaws are visible over a long period of time on the surface of the rolled product, which makes it possible to dispense with the marking of flaws. The defective areas thus identified are chipped.

Abstract: A method and system for the implementation of binary multiplication of a number by a sum of two numbers, applicable in the computer systems, particularly in the specialized processors for numerical computations. In the method according to the invention the multiplier, as expressed by two numbers-summands represented in a binary number system, is transformed parallelly into a positional number system with digits from -2.sup.g-1 to +2.sup.g-1, where "g" is the number of binary positions of multiplier. These two numbers correspond to one partial product--summand of the result. The multiplying system contains registers of multiplier summands, a register of the multiplicand, a system converting the multiplier summands, the system preparing the partial products and the system summing them. Signals are generated by the converting system and represent digits from -2.sup.g-1 to +2.sup.
Abstract: A collapsable frame for children's furniture, of the type which is formed of a rectangular enclosure with four independent side members. The side members are fixed together but detachable from each other and a base. In application to a playpen, the base is made up of two co-planar sections which on their two opposing edges have tongues on each in the continuous plane for support and abutt against their respective lower side beams of the two opposite side members. The lower side beams of the other two side members carry the support of the corresponding edges of the base panels, which edges abutt against the bars of the side members, thus providing rigidity of the entire frame.
