  • Patent number: 6250155
Abstract: In the case of a method for balancing rotors, more particularly tool holders of machine tools, the imbalance of the rotor is ascertained in a computer, in terms of size and direction, of a balancing machine and is compensated by spreading at least two balancing elements with a predetermined imbalance into suitable positions of adjustment. Firstly from the measured imbalance of the rotor and the size of the imbalance of the balancing elements the position of adjustment of the balancing elements is determined and then the rotor of the balancing machine is turned until a balanced position is reached, at which the position of adjustment of the one balancing element is at a predetermined position in relation to the balancing machine. When the rotor is located in the balanced position, a visible marking is projected onto the balancing element. The balancing element is then set in its position of adjustment by bringing a mark provided on the balancing element into alignment with the visible marking.

  • Patent number: 6247429
Abstract: The present invention provides a cooling water circulating apparatus capable of securing a required flow rate of cooling water without increasing the heads of water pumps. The apparatus includes a first water pump which has a first supply port for supplying the cooling water into the first water pump, the cooling water for flowing through the interior of an engine, and a first discharge port for discharging the supplied cooling water from the first water pump to the engine again, and which is directly connected to and rotated with a cam shaft of the engine. A control mechanism is adapted to cut off a flow of the cooling water, which is directed from a radiator to the first supply port, when the temperature of the cooling water is not higher than a predetermined level, and operatively connect the radiator and first supply port with each other when the temperature of the cooling water is higher than the predetermined level.

  • Patent number: 6228151
Abstract: An anti-reentrainment device is provided for use with a cyclone separator. The anti-reentrainment device has a plurality of vane upwardly extending members positioned in the bottom of a cyclone chamber and extending radially inwardly across the bottom. The vanes separate the bottom of the cyclone from the cyclonic fluid flow portion, thereby creating a reduced flow region above deposited particles settling on the bottom of the cyclone. The device impedes the cyclonic flow from reentraining the deposited particles.

  • Patent number: 6190082
Abstract: In an improved child security fence system or pool gate, pole adapters are used for locking together two panels of the fence or pool gate. The pole adaptors are inserted into the support poles of two adjacent fence panels. The two panels are then attached to one another by a lock that bridges the two pole adaptors. The pole adaptors and the lock all have holes drilled through them that align with each other when assembled. Tension clips are positioned inside each pole adaptor so that dimples or tabs extend from the clips and through the aligned holes. In order to disengage the lock, the dimples or tabs from the clips must be simultaneously depressed at four points of the locking assembly.
