  • Patent number: 6064338
Abstract: An array antenna system of a wireless base station in CDMA mobile communications combines signals, which have been received by a plurality of antenna elements of an array antenna, upon subjecting the signals to amplitude and phase-rotation control, and despreads the combined signal. A searcher has matched filters which apply correlation operations to output signals from respective antenna elements to thereby calculate correlation signals that are correlated with a signal transmitted from a mobile station of interest. An adaptive weight calculating unit calculates adaptive weights for obtaining in-phase correlation signals from the respective antenna outputs. A beam former multiplies, by the adaptive weights, output signals from the corresponding antenna elements and combines the resulting products to output a combined signal. The combined signal is found for each path of multipaths and is input to a Rake receiver, which proceeds to identify data.

  • Patent number: 6061329
Abstract: An SDH multiplex transmission system has a transmission terminal apparatus and a reception terminal apparatus that are connected to each other through channels of an N+1 redundant structure. The transmission terminal apparatus loads predetermined information that violates SDH standards into the overhead of an STM frame and transmits the same to a spare channel that is not currently used. The reception terminal apparatus monitors an STM frame received through the spare channel, and when the predetermined information in the overhead thereof satisfies a predetermined violation detection condition, determines that the spare channel is unused. The violation information is byte information such as H1, MS-REI, or STM-ID. As a result, the SDH multiplex transmission system has a simple structure to let the reception terminal apparatus correctly determine whether or not the spare channel is used.

  • Patent number: 6049886
Abstract: Disclosed is a clock frequency synchronizer which receives a count value of system clock on an encoder side which is transmitted from the encoder as a reference count value, and generates system clock on a decoder side which is synchronous in frequency with the system clock on the encoder side on the basis of the reference count value. A counting means for counting the system clocks on the decoder side is provided, and the deviation of the frequency of the system clock on the decoder side from that of the system clock on the encoder side is obtained by using an increment .DELTA.C of the count value of the counting means during reference count value arrival interval .DELTA.T and the increment .DELTA.P of the reference count value. The frequency of the system clock on the decoder side is so controlled that the frequency deviation becomes zero.

  • Patent number: 6041350
Abstract: Duplicates (duplicate managed objects) of managed objects that have been generated by a network element management system in order to manage the states of a plurality of network resources are produced and stored in a management information database of a network management system. Before transmitting a series of handling directives regarding a managed object generated by a network management request from a user terminal or service management system, to the network element management system, the network management system simulates the handling directives using the duplicate managed objects and notifies the source of the request of the results of simulated behavior. The network management system transmits the series of handling directives to the network element management system when the simulated behavior ends normally but does do so when the simulated behavior ends abnormally.
