  • Patent number: 4674563
Abstract: Blanks are provided from zeolite (1) which adsorb and desorb adsorbed substances and are provided with metal textures (3). The stability and the low heat conductivity of the blanks are increased by the metal textures (3). The metal texture is permanently connected with heat exchanger surfaces in a manner to provide good heat conductivity by means of known connecting techniques. The blanks contain separate flow conduits (4) for the adsorbed substances. The binder components in the zeolite filling are lesser in the inside of the blanks than in the outer areas.

  • Patent number: 4662674
Abstract: A construction of the interior of an arm rest housing is provided. The cloth which forms the upper wall of a recessed arm rest housing is stitched to cloths forming a left and right side walls thereof keeping the seams outside. The extension of the cloth is extended around the frame located inside the seat and terminates in one end. This end is fixed to a fixing wire and a panel is affixed on the fixing wire. In this construction an improved interior construction of the arm rest housing in a seat for vehicles is disclosed wherein there is defined spaced in a portion of frame corresponding to the seams of the cloths, whereby the seams extend through such space into the inside of the seat. In this manner, bulging at the corners of the interior of the housing is avoided and the exterior appearance is enhanced.

  • Patent number: 4660629
Abstract: A plurality of adsorption containers are provided which are separated into heater adsorber zones and condenser evaporator zones. The zones are successfully rotated through flow segments which form a passageway for heat carrier flows. The heater adsorption zones contain an adsorption substance from which an operating substance is extracted by adsorbing heat from a heat carrier flow and is again adsorbed by emitting heat to a further heat carrier flow. The operating substance condenses and evaporates by means of a heat exchange with further heat exchangers. The adsorption devices are suitable as cooling devices and heat pumps as well as heat transformers and heat exchangers.

  • Patent number: 4653429
Abstract: A process and apparatus for preparing bivalves for human consumption which includes depositing the bivalves in a fresh salt water bath maintained at a temperature of from about 46.degree. F. to about 54.degree. F. wherein the water is provided from an aquifer of not more than about 200 feet below the surface of the earth at a rate of from about 0.5 to about 2.0 gallons per minute per bushel, and preferably about 1 gallon per minute per bushel. The oxygen level in the fresh salt water is maintained at a level of from about 4 to about 10 ppm. As a result of the present invention, bivalves recovered, even from uncertified waters, can be sufficiently purified for human consumption in 48 hours without degrading the quality of the bivalves.

Abstract: Disclosed is an assembly of an elongated container and a plug therefor. The container has defined therein a receiving space for contents, an opening through which the contents are filled into the receiving space and discharged therefrom, and an annular ridge formed at a location spaced from the opening toward the receiving space a predetermined distance. The annular ridge defines a throat having a circumferentially continuous, planar sealing surface extending substantially longitudinally of the container a predetermined distance. The plug is threadedly engageable with the container so as to open and close the opening by axial one end of the plug. An annular resilient sealing member carried on the other axial end of the plug is in sealing contact with the planar sealing surface with the opening being closed by the axial one end of the plug threadedly engaged with the container.
