  • Patent number: 6843720
Abstract: A device for dispensing prizes includes a housing having a plurality of compartments, a door attached to the housing for coving the compartments, and a lock for limiting access to the compartments. The contents of the compartments are visible from the outside. Each compartment contains a prize, such as a diamond. The housing may be part of, or linked to, a gaming device. When a player wins a game, which entitles the player to select a tangible award, the device signals this fact to the player. The player then selects a compartment by pressing an input device located on the housing. An attendant opens an external door, and inserts an electronic key into a receptacle associated with the selected compartment, and enters a required code into the key. The compartment then opens, and the player obtains the prize. The device may also include an inventory control system which preferably uses an RFID apparatus for monitoring the contents of each compartment, and for keeping records of an inventory of prizes.

  • Patent number: 6821110
Abstract: This invention consists of a new cost effective injection molding apparatus for molding with hot melt adhesives and other Polyamide materials. Manufactured from standard tubing components in a double “L” or “C” design, it has fewer moving parts than other molding machines therefore requiring less maintenance. It is specifically designed to not require the use of temperature limiting and maintenance prone heated hoses for transport of melted material or sliding injection nozzles for engagement into mold-set by utilizing a substantially fixed injection nozzle. It incorporates a sell-draining melt reservoir with single-side mounting to allow for heat expansion and has very short material transfer distance from reservoir to mold-set. It can utilize permanent nozzle engagement into the mold-set to simplify molding operation and reduce cost. It incorporates several safety features to protect operators against injuries.

  • Patent number: 6817945
Abstract: A display device comprising a plurality of prize balls, a ball holder adapted to hold the balls in an individually controlled manner, a controller adapted to select a prize ball, a display mechanism adapted to display the selected prize ball to the player; and a positioning mechanism in communication with the controller adapted to position the selected prize ball relative to the display mechanism. The display device may be combined with a jumbled ball display, or separate, upwardly extending rotatable action ball or unit container with agitated action balls, wherein the balls displayed by the display device appear to originate from the jumbled ball display, or the alternative action ball or unit container. The display device may also be combined with a game apparatus that is adapted to allow players to play a game. In this embodiment, the display device may, preferably in conjunction with a board game, provide a bonus award for the player.

  • Patent number: 6814665
Abstract: A gaming bonus device and method of use in a gaming system. A game player is allowed to play a game for a prize on a primary game. The primary game generates a bonus-qualifying event. The bonus game, in response to the bonus-qualifying event, generates and displays three either/or binary outcomes entitling a player to a predefined payout. The game player can be allowed to select the winning outcome. The payout depends upon the number of similar binary outcomes displayed as compared to the selected winning outcome.

  • Patent number: 6814518
Abstract: A modular printer system comprising a support frame, a chassis, a media holder, and a printer assembly. The support frame supports the other components and may be attached to other devices. The chassis is slidably attached to the support frame so that it may be at least partially removed from the support frame thereby exposing components attached to the chassis. The chassis is adapted to hold the media holder and the printer assembly. The media holder holds media that may be printed on by the printer assembly. The printer assembly may be removed from the chassis to service the printer assembly and give full access to the media path. The printer assembly comprises a printer for printing on the media and a controller for controlling the printer and communicating with other devices.
