Abstract: A channel characteristic analyzing apparatus that can ensure modeling of a more adequate propagation path by processing position parameters needed in a two-wave model which is used as a line-of-sight propagation path model in a stochastic manner is provided. The channel characteristic analyzing apparatus for analyzing the propagation channel characteristics of a reception apparatus 11b which has received a radio signal of a millimeter wave band, transmitted from a transmission antenna 13a of a transmission apparatus 11a, via a reception antenna 13b, includes computation means which computes h(t) expressed by the following equation (1) as a channel response to the propagation channel characteristic. h(t)=??(t)??(1) where ? is derived as a result of processing the position parameters needed also in the two-wave model in the stochastic manner.

Abstract: An apparatus and process maintain control of the temperature of low-melting compounds, high melt flow polymers, and thermally sensitive materials for the pelletization of such materials. The addition of a cooling extruder, and a second melt cooler if desired, in advance of the die plate provides for regulation of the thermal, shear, and rheological characteristics of narrow melting-range materials and polymeric mixtures, formulations, dispersions or solutions. The apparatus and process can then be highly regulated to produce consistent, uniform pellets of low moisture content for these otherwise difficult materials to pelletize.

Abstract: Provided is a process and an apparatus for producing at low cost gas hydrate pellets having an excellent storability. A gas hydrate generated from a raw-material gas and raw-material water is dewatered and simultaneously molded into pellets with compression-molding means under conditions suitable for generating the gas hydrate while the gas hydrate is generated from the raw-material gas and the raw-material water that exist among particles of the gas hydrate.
Abstract: The present invention discloses a professional diagnosis method of battery performance analysis, Through the overall evaluation of experiential data library, several parameters about the battery are input into the artificial neural network, outputting capacity prediction and service life prediction of each battery, etc. and giving useful advices for each battery. Therefore the result is much more in conformity with the real condition of the battery. Besides, it designs an adaptive learning function of the abovementioned artificial neural network. This invention effectively avoids the defect of evaluating the VRLA battery performance at single moment, from single perspective and by single method, and it does the real-time monitoring and evaluating for the performance of the battery during VRLA battery working period, which is easy to operate, and avoids checking discharge test to the battery so that it doesn't affect the cycle life of the VRLA battery.

Abstract: A known method for parallel two-way symmetrical signal transmission by means of an isolating interface with a differentiating circuit comprising a capacitive barrier is improved. When restarting communication in the selected direction after a longer break, a pilot signal is conducted via the transmitting plates for the communication in the reverse direction and capacitive compensators to one of the receiving plates for communication in the selected direction. Threshold levels for comparisons of the signals of the first and second time derivative are decreased, the capacitance of capacitive compensators is then set to reduce output the output signal and finally communication is reestablished. Transmitting plates for communication in the reverse direction are now connected to the receiving plates for communication in the selected direction through the capacitive compensators with the capacitance adjusted as described above.

A main-shaft lubrication device includes a supply device for variably supplying lubricant oil to bearings which support a main shaft, a collection device for collecting, from the bearings, the lubricant oil supplied from the supply device, a measurement device for measuring the amount of lubricant oil collected by the collection device, and a control device for controlling the amount of lubricant oil to be supplied from the supply device.
Abstract: A solar collector includes a solar absorbing tube containing an elongate tube that extends out of one end of the solar absorbing tube and into an end fitting. An annular outer passageway of the elongate tube communicates with a cold fluid inlet conduit within the end fitting. An inner passageway of the elongate tube communicates with a hot water outlet conduit within the end fitting. Each end fitting 15 is provided with a receiving portion extending orthogonally to the tubular passage for receiving an end of the concentric elongated tube. The end fittings are interconnected to provide fluid flow paths without the need for a manifold. Any number of solar collector tubes can be interconnected in this way.

Abstract: A radial-shaped wireless fence system is provided that contains one or more dogs in a user-defined area without the need for a physical fence or underground wire. The system includes a base unit and at least one collar, and is easy to set up and use. Through improved filtering of consecutive distance measurement values taken between the base unit and the collar, errant measurement values are discounted in terms of their contribution to the current estimate of the dog's distance from the base unit. These filtering techniques, in combination with improved signal strength and antenna diversity in the communication between the base unit and the collar, improve the accuracy and consistency with which the dog's distance from the base unit is tracked so that unwanted corrections are not administered to the dog.

Abstract: A method (1) of developing software code for executing on a target digital processor uses a memory in which it maintains data structures having elements, each of the elements storing data which is represented by a label, and at least some links between the elements are created by the target processor as data is being processed. The method comprises the step (3) of writing the software code with data structure processing operations which comply with random structure preservation rules (2). A static analysis timing tool automatically parses (4) the code developed in step (2) to identify all operations. It determines (7) from an operation and all possible input states for that operation an average time value for execution of the operation by a target data processor, and stores (9) said average time value. It determines (8) from the operation and all possible input states all possible output states for that operation.

Abstract: A top-fill hummingbird feeder has a liquid container with a a lower bottom opening which can be screw-threaded into a central collar of a feeding basin. An insert is received within the central collar and is configured to be vertically movable between a first position in which fluid is allowed to flow from the liquid container to the basin, and a second position in which fluid flow from the container to the basin is prevented. Movement of the insert between the two positions is effected by pushing the liquid container toward the basin (the closed position) and by pulling the liquid container away from the basin (the open position). Each movement of the insert has an associated “snap” or gives positive physical feedback which the user can feel that assures the user that the desired fluid flow or fluid sealed position has been achieved.
