Abstract: A traffic barrier gate for controlling the flow of vehicles through a barrier, such as a concrete median wall between opposing traffic lanes of a controlled access highway. In one embodiment the gate comprises hinged sidewall panels connected to a support member which is moved vertically on command and which, when moved, causes the sidewall panels to collapse and spread out thereby forming a ramp for the passage of vehicles through the wall barrier. In a second embodiment, the gate revolves 180.degree., upon command, and then retracts into a well in the ground thereby forming the traffic ramp.
Abstract: This invention pertains to the an electric motor of very small size which is adapted to plug into a lamp socket of a string-set of series connected decorative incandescent lamps so as to utilize the output of the motor to rotate ornaments and like devices. A particular electrical motor of unique design and geared output is shown.
Abstract: A mattress and foundation bedding system having a knock-down capability for ease of assembly and disassembly, and for shipment and storage. The foundation has a core of honeycomb cells enclosed in an outer box and dressed with ticking material to resemble conventional bedding. The mattress has interlocking foam sidewal rails suitably reinforced to maintain its shape. The sidewall rails define a central cavity into which a sleep support system may be placed. The sleep support system may be fluid filled, or foam, or a conventional spring set, or other suitable supporting medium and is enclosed in a liner. The entire mattress is enclosed in a removable ticking enclosure.
Abstract: The game board apparatus comprising a game board including a plurality of locations arranged around the perimeter of the game board to form a game movement area for the movement of player's tokens. The plurality of locations on the game board include printed indicia, which require players to take certain actions upon landing on the discrete locations upon the roll of dice. The roll of the dice determines each player's move around the periphery of the game board and determines the score according to predetermined combinations of the value on the dice.
Abstract: A hand exercise device which includes a pair of hand grips which are interconnected by a shaft, which shaft is adapted to be axially received within a hollow bore of one of the hand grips. The shaft has a helix groove bored through the free end thereof which cooperates with a through pin lodged within one hand grip so that when axial pressure is applied to the hand grips, the interaction of the actuating through pin and the helix groove causes the hand grips to rotate in counter directions to one another to thereby compress a resistence spring to exercise the wrists, arms and upper body of the user.
Abstract: An inexpensive trash can for normal household kitchen trash designed to hold thin wall plastic bags which are normally given to the customer in grocery and like retail stores. The trash can has upstanding handle support flanges which project upwardly from opposing side walls of the trash can and which terminate in a projecting lip to hold the handles of the plastic bag and to maintain the bag in an open condition. A dustpan, which doubles as a top cover for the trash can, comes as an integral part of the trash can.
Abstract: A pad of bank checks in which the check pad comprises multiple logos containing advertising coupons which are designed to be perforated for easy removal, and a series of bank checks each with a rotating advertising logo and/or slogan matching the sequential representation of the coupons.

Abstract: A safety cover for preventing access to an electrical receptacle while the receptacle contains a plug includes a receiving plate and a box-shaped cover assembly which can be locked over the receiving plate. The cover assembly has a plurality of locking flanges each of which can be independently depressed and thereby moved in and out of means for receiving locking flanges located on the receiving plate. To remove the cover assembly from the receiving plate, it is necessary to simultaneously depress each locking flange. Flange-releasing means are positioned on the cover assembly in a manner that renders small children incapable of reaching and depressing all the flanges simultaneously.
Abstract: An elastomeric baseboard molding and method of installing same that is removably attached to a wall by means of a hook and loop fastener system. The molding is manufactured with the hook and loop fastner pre-applied to the molding, and then, at the job site, a peel-off release strip exposes an adhesive coating that allows the molding with the fastener system to be applied to the wall. The hook and loop fastener system allows the molding to be removed whenever maintenance is needed upon the wall or floor located adjacent to the molding. The molding can be removed multiple times without losing its wall adhering qualities.
Abstract: A tool for rewinding the recoil starter spring within a recoil starter mechanism for a small engine which allows the repair person to rewind the spring with a minimum of trouble and without the danger of the spring flying out of the central spring receiving recess of the starter pulley.
Abstract: A flexible, multicellular aerial device of significantly improved performance for the lifting or gliding of a load attached to and suspended from the device by suspension means that distribute load stresses over large areas of structural surface without the use of additional suspension load bearing reinforcing members or other externally applied load distributing means. The primary structure of the device is comprised of an upper and lower flexible surface between which a plurality of longitudinal flexible partitions of various vertical and longitudinal extent are attached at spanwise intervals to define a substantially airfoil-shaped ram pressurizable partitioned structure, to which a plurality of suspension and control lines attach at various points to suspend and control the lift or glide of a load through the atmosphere.
Abstract: A tandem two seat child's stroller made of tubular material having an elongated frame supporting two tandemly related seats for small children with the lower front seat and the upper rear seat being vertically disposed to one another, wherein the front seat faces toward the forward portion of the stroller and the upper rear seat faces toward the rear of the stroller. A maneuvering handle is provided at the rear of the stroller and a removable container doubling as a foot support is provided on the lower part of the stroller for containing packages and personal articles.
Abstract: A hydroplaning wing sailing craft comprising a single buoyant hull having mounted transversely across the hull a hydroplaning wing having forward sweep and inverted gull wing shape. The wing having a positive angle of incidence providing hydroplaning lift and buoyancy to counteract the heeling moment and thrust of the sail. Mounted atop the hull and the wing is a high aspect ratio sailing rig. Mounted to the stern of the hull is a biaxial control system permitting simultaneous control of the direction in which the craft moves as well as the pitch attitude of the hull and thereby the angle of attack of the hydroplaning wing.
