  • Patent number: 6401338
Abstract: A method of removing a bearing insert from a skate wheel is performed utilizing a bearing insert tool. The bearing insert has a central axial bore corresponding to the diameter of a central axial bore of a spacer element. A transverse bore is formed through a middle portion of the spacer element. The spacer element middle portion has a larger outer circumference than that of its opposed side portions. The spacer element opposed side portions mount within the inner circumference of the bearing inserts such that inner side walls of the bearing inserts abut opposed side walls of the spacer element middle portion. The bearing insert tool has a shaft containing spring activated nipples on a distal end. A button on the tool head portion operates the spring. To remove the bearing inserts the button is depressed retracting the nipples. The shaft is then inserted within the central axial bore of the spacer element through the proximal bearing insert.

  • Patent number: 6404348
Abstract: A modular power quality monitoring device, adaptable to an electrical anomaly detection circuit, such as a surge protection device, comprises an electrical connection to an AC power line, voltage surge detection circuitry, a neuron microprocessor, a DC power source and a transmission circuit. The modular device is capable of detecting a plurality of electrical anomalies, such as voltage levels, current draw, power surges, phase outages, phase shifting, power factor, harmonic distortion and panel load. A plurality of the modular devices can be employed about a facility to create a power quality control network. A user interface permits data stored by the modular device to be retrieved and viewed on the display. Various ways of transmission can be employed, such as modulated power line transmission or free topology—twisted pair, RS485, fiber optics, RF carrier or computer modem connection.

  • Patent number: 6386095
Abstract: Multiple belt drives spaced apart transversely are engaged to multiple longitudinally spaced apart transversely mounted guide bars. The guide bars are juxtaposed to multiple parallel fixed longitudinally mounted spaced apart travel grooves. Skewers containing food items have wheels at each end for moving in the travel grooves through a heated oven housing. The skewers rotate between the parallel guide bars from a loading station to a discharge station. Heating elements mounted in the oven housing heat the food during transit through the oven housing on the skewers. Color coded wheels are attached to ends of the skewer to identify a food order for a customer.

  • Patent number: 6378791
Abstract: A water spray device for cleaning the hull of a boat is disclosed. The spray device includes a handle and wand portion. The handle portion has an angled portion separating an upper and lower part, a channel formed through the handle and a top and bottom open end. The top end engages a hose connected to a water source. A shut-off valve is disposed within the handle channel proximal to the top end. The wand portion is an elongated tube having an channel formed therein, an open top end for engaging the handle bottom end, a closed bottom end and a plurality of spray nozzles disposed along the wand. Water enters the handle portion, flows into the wand portion and out the spray nozzles. A user of the novel water spray device simply positions the spray nozzles towards the boat hull from the deck of the boat while holding the spray device and walks around the perimeter of the boat to quickly, easily and thoroughly clean the boat hull.

  • Patent number: 6377172
Abstract: Disclosed is a specific location public alert devices that require no specialized installation and may be plugged into any common household electrical outlet which provides power to the device so no switch is required to access power. The device requires no switch for the user to activate the device and its alert which is activated by an incoming transmission from an authorized authority with access to a transmitting source in the specific area of the device(s) such as cell phone towers or transmitting vehicles and activates any number of devices within one home and or all homes simultaneously and the alert may be a tone, light, or voice. The device may be mobile and be able to be removed from the electrical outlet and powered by replaceable or rechargeable batteries at remote locations, cigarette lighter adaptor within a vehicle, or electrical outlet at any location desired.

  • Patent number: 6370827
Abstract: A ground anchor rod drilled into soil is held in place by a generally rectangular stabilizer having various side thicknesses of about 2-1 cm from a top to a bottom portion and a front and backside having a width of about 20 cm. The front face contains multiple depressions over its entire surface for receiving soil. The backside has two parallel spaced. apart vertical protrusions for enclosing a portion of the ground anchor rod when the stabilizer is hammered into the ground juxtaposed to the ground anchor rod. The stabilizer is made from a high strength plastic such as ABS and can withstand loads in excess of four thousand pounds.

  • Patent number: 6374192
Abstract: A spectroscopy system is provided having an automatic pole-zero error correction circuit. A gated integrator of the system integrates a shaped pulse and trailing edge of the shaped pulse for sampling by an analog-to-digital converter. A pair of samples are converted along the slope of each integrated shaped pulse passing through the system. The two samples are compared on a pulse by pulse basis. An algorithm generates a control word for affecting a change in a pole-zero network coupled along a shaping amplifier of the system. In response to the control word, an MDAC of the pole-zero network affects a change in the system to correct the pole-zero error. When the pole-zero error is eliminated or reaches an acceptable user level, the correction circuitry automatically shuts off.
