Abstract: A shock and vibration dampening grip wrap comprised of at least two layers of elastomeric material having differing densities. When applied to a handle the grip wrap provides a firm and reversible grip, and is water-resistant. The shock and vibration dampening wrap includes an upper, denser grip elastomer layer overlaying a second, less dense base elastomer layer. These layers may be optionally conjoined by an elastomer adhesive, a built-up structure, or formed as a unitary structure without recourse to this elastomer adhesive. A grip wrap adhesive and primer are applied to an underside of the base elastomer to affix the grip wrap to the desired handle. An extrusion methodology for forming the grip elastomer layer further serves to create within the grip elastomer an open-celled structure having exceptional wicking characteristics.

Abstract: A cleaning device for attachment to a water faucet, comprising a housing element having a top portion and a bottom portion, the top portion being threaded for operable engagement with a water faucet, and the bottom portion having an opening therein, aperture is positioned in the housing element allowing th flow of water through the housing element. A plurality of cleaning bristles are positioned around or about the opening of the bottom portion of the housing element for cleaning fingernails, hands, razors, toothbrushes and the like.
Abstract: A filter cleaning and rinsing device for spas, pools, and Jacuzzi's that attaches to a garden hose for cleaning or rinsing a cartridge type spa filter by placing the filter on an inclining armature of the device. The armature sprays water inside the filter cartridge and is the centrifugally forced out through the fabric elements of the filter by high pressure spray jets trained on the exterior of the filter cartridge which simultaneously clean the exterior and spin the filter around the armature at a high speed creating the centrifugal force. The device may be molded and assembled using the same manufacturing processes as those used to make the spas which utilize cartridge type filters.
Abstract: A programmable device for the display of information, comprising, a spherical or curved element, such as a globe, which is programmable/reprogrammable for the display of geographical, political, meteorological, biological, and cultural information. A spherical or curved element having a plurality of optical lens segments is in operable communication with programmable electronic displays, for displaying and representing information on the spherical element. The programmable displays are secured to the inside faces of lens segments so that images are directed to the outside surface of the sphere.
Abstract: A disposable aseptic cassette control device, for controlled dispensing and heating of flowable and semi-flowable materials includes a base, having a top portion, a bottom portion, a back portion, and a front portion. The base has a container portion, and power receiving mechanism for receiving power from a power source. A plurality of aseptic cassettes are operably mounted and positioned in the base and include a dispensing mechanism for dispensing flowable or semi-flowable material. Controls for turning the heating and dispensing device on and off, and for controlling the temperature and pressure within the plurality of aseptic cassettes are positioned on the base.
Abstract: A portable x-ray fluorescence spectrometer apparatus comprising a housing; a high voltage energized x-ray source operably secured within the housing; and an unheated electron cathode, operably linked to the high voltage energized x-ray source, thereby eliminating the need for a cathodic electron power supply for spectrometric analysis. Another embodiment comprises a portable x-ray fluorescence spectrometer having a housing, an integrated x-ray tube, a high voltage power supply operably linked to the integrated x-ray tube, and a mechanism for controlling the x-ray emissions of the x-ray tube and power supply including an electron suppression grid operably positioned between a filament cathode and a target anode of the x-ray tube.
Abstract: A word game comprising the steps of turning a plurality of letter tiles upside down with each letter tile having a single letter on one side thereof. Next, distributing a word bracket, a score pad, and a writing implement to all players. Then a die is thrown to determine which player goes first, and each player then draws a single letter tile until each player can form a three letter word composed of a plurality of letters. The players then take turns guessing the word that another player has by making a guess of a three letter word with each guess responded to by the answer ‘odd’ or ‘even’ corresponding to either an odd or even number of correct letters guessed respectively. Points are scored for the player who correctly guessed the word.
Abstract: A vibrato apparatus (10) for a stringed instrument (11), the instrument having a body (12) and a neck (13) extending from the body, the apparatus comprising, tuning elements (16) on the neck and a bridge member on the body (12) to demarcate a string plane and a vibrating portion of the strings which extend in a longitudinal direction in the string plane. The vibrato apparatus (10) is secured on and is pivotal about a pivot axis which is essentially parallel to but distanced from the string plane and transversely oriented in the longitudinal direction. A plurality of vertically pivoting rocker arms (34) each securing the body end (15) of a respective string and operably secured to a lever which is resistibly secured to a spring and to the vibrato member. A slug tuning element (36) allows for vertical adjustments of the plurality of rocker arms (34) so that by varying a lever moment of the lever the plurality of rocker arms are each selectively moved thereby altering the tuning of the strings.
