Abstract: A method for producing SMC where a multilayered, multistructured, multipolymer release/barrier film is used as a polymeric film. The multilayered, multistructured, multipolymer release/barrier film is preferably produced by multilayered cast extrusion process. The tensile strength of the multilayered, multistructured, multipolymer release/barrier film should not be less than 8000 psi when tested to ASTM D882. Preferably, the film should inhibit styrene transmission at a rate no less than 2.0.times.10.sup.-11 g. cm/cm.sup.2 -hr. as tested per ASTM F739-81 and a surface tension level not to exceed 30 dynes/cm when tested in accordance with ASTM D2578.

Abstract: A combination ski and binding plate apparatus comprising a first and second mounting plate assembly for supporting mounting plates for boot bindings and for operably linking a pair of skis. The first and second mounting plate assemblies each comprise a four bar linkage assembly including a first inner bar and a first outer bar operably secured to a mounting plate. The first inner bar is pivotally secured to the first outer bar. A rear linkage assembly including a rear inner bar and a rear outer bar are operably secured to the mounting plate. The rear inner bar is pivotally secured to the rear outer bar.

Abstract: A portable container for golf balls including three elongated elements, each of the three elongated elements having a top end and a bottom end. The container includes a base having a top face, a bottom face, a front side, and a rear side; the base being secured to the bottom end of each of the three elongated elements. A top element having a top face, a bottom face, a front side, and a rear side is secured to the top end of each of the three elongated elements. A plurality of dimples and corresponding cavities are used for securing together a plurality of the portable containers for golf balls. A clip for fastening to a belt or other object may be secured to one of the three elongated elements for detachably securing the portable container for golf bails to an animate or inanimate object.

Abstract: A tool for use on an avocado, for separating the meat of an avocado from its skin while simultaneously cutting the meat into separate slices, comprising a handle having a first end and a second end and cutting rings are mounted at one end of the handle. The cutting rings including a pair of ring element operably secured to the handle and extending away therefrom. The pair of ring elements comprise an inner ring and outer ring formed from a continuous band. The inner ring has an elongated guide slot operably positioned therein, and the outer ring has an elongated guide slot operably positioned therein and in operably alignment with the elongated guide slot of the inner ring and extending therethrough. The inner ring includes a set element having a centrally positioned aperture therethrough and adapted for releasably securing and receiving the second end of the handle.

Abstract: A monitoring device useful in home arrest, identification, and surveillance activities, including a monitoring member communicatively linked to a remote communicator. The monitoring member includes a barcode strip secured therein. The monitoring member may be secured to an animate or inanimate object by a strap including a plurality of charged and uncharged conductors therein. The barcode is either printed on or covered by a photo-sensitive material, and a photo-flash element is positioned in proximity to the barcode. When the monitoring member is severed from the animate or inanimate object the photo-flash element is activated thereby altering the photo-sensitive material and obscuring the barcode. The photo-flash element is preferably energized by a battery.

Abstract: A gutter screen for for preventing leaves, pine needles, and other debris from clogging a longitudinally extending gutter comprises a first moveable leg adapted to slideably fit within a longitudinally extending gutter. The first moveable leg includes a plurality of spaced and sized aperture allowing the flow of water therethrough while preventing the passage of leaves, pine needles, and other debris. A second moveable leg adapted to be slideably fit within a longitudinally extending gutter includes a plurality of spaced and sized apertures. The second leg is hingedly secured to the first leg allowing movement of the first leg and the second leg in relation to each other permitting the gutter screen to be slideably secured within the longitudinally extending gutter while allowing the gutter screen to be folded and stored in a flat configuration.

Abstract: A cam arm apparatus for exercise training and monitoring devices having a base plate secured to a pair of angle plates. A cam is operably secured to the base plate and a cam follower arm which is pivotally linked to a shaft element operably secured to an adjustment knob. An arm element may be secured to the cam for holding and positioning a ball, weight, or other training, sport, or exercise devices. A spindle shaft is linked to the cam and mounted on the angle plates so that the arm element is automatically returned to an initial starting point regardless of the angular positioning of the base plate or the amount of movement of the arm element around the cam, thereby allowing the return of the arm element against gravity to said initial starting point even if the base plate is angularly positioned.

Abstract: An improved taping and masking apparatus to aid in the masking of windows, frames, and other surfaces includes a cutter mounted to a frame and linked to a trigger element by a control assembly having a transverse shaft, support boss, advance pivot and cutter pivot. A handle assembly allows for both left and right handed operation of the apparatus and is positioned adjacent to the trigger element. Dispensing elements are rotatably mounted to the frame and configured to hold one or more rolls of taper, paper, or other sheet material. A safety element shields the user from the cutting blade allowing for safe and efficient cutting of tape, paper, or other sheet material.

Abstract: An apparatus for the production of sushi and sushi products comprises a housing member and a first pair of contiguous cylindrical rotatable drums and a second pair of contiguous cylindrical rotatable drums mounted to the housing member and operably engageable with one another. A sheet forming drum is operably engaged to the first and the second pair of contiguous cylindrical rotatable drums and a plurality of rollers is positioned transversely to the sheet forming drum and in operable contact with the sheet forming drum. A plurality of flanges are secured to the housing member and project adjacent to the sheet forming drum allowing for removal and transfer of nori and rice from the sheet forming drum. A first and a second hopper are secured to the housing member for holding and feeding food particles and articles to the drums. The rotation of the drums may be powered and controlled by a motor, or alternatively by a hand-operated crank arm.

Abstract: A baseball bat made of a rigid material and having an elongated body with a free end tapering to a handle of a reduced diameter includes a cavity within the handle adapted to secure and receive a tubular member therein, a detachable knob with a chamber therein is secured within the cavity of the handle and to a tubular member inserted into the handle cavity. The tubular member includes a plurality of particles interiorly disposed therein, and a fluid interiorly situated within the tubular member. The tubular member is preferably secured to the detachable knob by one or more grooves, ridges, threads, or barbs on a inner surface of the detachable knob which mate with a corresponding set of grooves, ridges, threads or barbs, on a outer surface of the tubular member. The detachable knob is preferably secured to the handle by one or more grooves, ridges, threads, or barbs on the detachable knob mating with a corresponding set of grooves, ridges, threads, or barbs on a inner surface of the handle.

Abstract: A golf green repair tool is mounted within the shaft of a golf club. The repair tool has a elongated support member mounted within the shaft and is secured to a housing having a slot in a wall thereof and being secured within the hand grip end of the shaft. A prong element is hingedly secured within the housing and includes a first member, a second member, and a base element having and engagement notch. The first member of the prong element includes an elongated depression providing a grip for hand operated extension of the prong element from the housing to a golf green repair orientation. A prong lock includes an engagement bar secured within the housing and mounted adjacent to the prong element and positioned so that the prong element presses against and pivots about the engagement bar as the prong element is extended form the housing so that when the prong element is in an opened, extended position, the engagement bar engages the engagement notch in the base element of the prong.

Abstract: A glass fishing weight including a body member composed of glass. The body member may be configured in various geometric shapes such as an orb, an orb having a flat surface, a torpedo shape, split-shot, banana shaped, or other configurations. To prevent rolling of the weight on a surface one or more sides of the body member may be flattened. To secure the body member to a fishing line a holder, swivel, eyelet, tube, or wire may be secured to the body member. Alternatively, a channel may be included in the body member housing hook and loop fastening elements for securing a fishing line or net therein. An identification tag is embedded within the body member allowing physical characteristics of the weights to be identified.

Abstract: A portable barbecue and cooler carrying apparatus includes a base element, an essentially tubular central housing member removably secured to the base element, and a cover element removably connected to the base element. The central housing member includes fastening apparatus for supporting a standard barbecue kettle, and the housing bottom is closed to receive and retain ashes or coal. A cooler may be removably attached to the base element, and the cover element surrounds the tubular central housing and tile base element and holds the elements in their assembled position.

Abstract: A system and method to accurately simulate digitally the rendering of a printed articulation, stroke, or mark of a donor natural medium used in graphic arts, such paints, pencils, erasers, or other implements. Using a computer (1) or other hardware the system and method of the invention allows a digital representation of dye-concentration color mixing, receptor grain and variable grain penetration, and a smooth and continuous brush stroke without visible artifacts. Other objects of the system and method of this invention include methods for varying the shape of the tip of an implement across the stroke for the purpose of accurately simulating brushes and other donor-receptor articulations common to natural media, and for rendering a brush stroke in multiple strokes to accurately simulate digitally brush bristles.

Abstract: A bicycle carrier rack adapter comprising a bracket member having a first arm, a second arm and a connecting element joining the first and second arms. At least one aperture is provided in each arm and the connecting element. A fastening member is detachably secured to the connecting element by fasteners. A pair of adjustable clamp members including a first and a second aperture are configured to receive and secure a fastening element allowing attachment of either the first and second arm of the bracket member. A coupling member for securing a bicycle carrier rack to the bracket member is also provided. The coupling member includes a pair of legs and a joining member and is adapted to be received and secured within the apertures of the adjustable clamp members, allowing for easy and convenient attachement of a wide variety of bicycle accessories such as child carriers, cargo carriers, surfboard racks, golf club bag carriers, and the like to a standard bicycle rack.

Abstract: A method for the control and destruction of agricultural pest organisms comprising generating a selected EM radiation at a plurality of different frequencies, pulse widths, and intensities for application on pest organisms, coupling the EM radiation to selected cellular organelles, organelle membranes, or cell membranes of the pest organism, disrupting an ionic balance within the cellular organelles, organelle membranes, or cell membranes, and initiating an increase in cation concentration within the membranes or organelles. The cation concentration is sustained until the pest organism is destroyed. A system and apparatus are also disclosed where an oscillator operably coupled to a broad band linear amplifier generate selected EM radiation frequencies to be applied to pest organisms. The oscillator is preferably a frequency-hopping RF oscillator and is communicatively linked to an antenna coupled to a reflector and shield for focusing the EM radiation.

Abstract: A sliding cable massage for use in massage and other therapeutic applications comprising a table top composed of a pair of abutting top sections having a frame rail attached thereto and having a truss centrally positioned and hingedly connected to the table top sections. Four circular members are secured in the corners of the table top. A pair of legs sets, each leg set comprising a pair of legs, a cross tube, a brace tube, and a telescoping internal height adjustment tube operably secured within each leg. A first set of four cables are operably secured to the truss at one end and to the cross tube at another end and have a middle portion operably engaged to the circular member. A second set of four cables is provided where each cable is secured at one end to the frame rail at a first end and a second end of each cable secured to a leg set at the cross tube.
