Abstract: A fish tank filter comprising an overflow tank for collecting surface waters from a fish tank, means for conveying the waters to a dry filter, a dry filter comprising a plurality of vertically stacked filter pans each having a filter material therein, a means for collecting the effluent from the dry filter and conveying it to a wet filter, a wet filter comprising a plurality of serially arranged filter material-containing filter compartments in a tank, and means for returning purified water to the fish tank.
Abstract: A motor vehicle flood protection apparatus comprising a flexible cover of water impervious material that is adapted to be folded over a motor vehicle and sealed to form a water impervious container around the motor vehicle and a flexible vent tube that opens at one end into the said container and that is provided with a flotation collar at the other end for buoying up the other end to the surface of flood waters. A spring loaded baffle vents air within the container to the atmosphere while at the same time preventing water, mud and debris from entering the vent tube and the container.
Abstract: An electrical wiring fixture comprising a fixture body having integral therewith a first socket, a second socket and a third socket wherein the said first and second sockets extend outward from opposite sides of the said fixture body and wherein the said third socket extends outward laterally from the said fixture body; and wherein each of the said sockets is provided with a plug that extends outward therefrom and that is adapted to be inserted into a knockout hole in a wiring box and adapted to couple the said fixture to the said wiring box, each plug of a socket comprising a plurality of tapered spring projections integral with the socket and that extend outward from the socket and that are adapted to deflect inward when the outer ends of the said tapered spring projections are inserted into a knockout hole in a wiring box and are pressed into the said hole.
Abstract: A portable mix bar comprising a hard hat having a plurality of drink containers and a pair of mixing chambers for mixing drinks mounted thereon wherein the flow of drinks to and from the mixing chambers is controlled by a plurality of valves. Also provided is a plurality of tubes for carrying drinks from the drink containers to the valves and mixing chambers and between valves and mixing chambers and from the mixing chambers to the mouth of a user.
Abstract: An insulated geodesic dome comprising a plurality of closed triangular building construction panels of two kinds wherein the panels of the first kind are smaller than the panels of the second kind, and wherein each panel comprises a triangular frame having outside and inside covers adapted to cover the frame and to provide structural strength and rigidity to the frame. A plurality of spaced apart notches is provided along each edge of each cover. During assembly of a dome, edges of panels are butted together with notches of adjoining panels aligned opposite one another. Adjoining panels are assembled together using metal straps and screws placed in the notches. An angular recess is provided along the bottom outside edge of each frame so that a channel adapted to receive an electrical conductor cable placed therein is formed when any two panels are assembled together.
Abstract: A slide table comprising a table top slidably mounted on a pair of guide rails and having a plurality of recesses in the top surface of the table top to receive dowel pins that serve as a fence. Clamps for holding work pieces may be screwed into tee-nuts that are fixed in the table top. Slide collars are provided on the bottom of the table top, which collars partially encircle the guide rails and allows for lengthwise sliding movement of the table top on the guide rails while severely restricting vertical and lateral movement of the table top relative to the guide rails. The guide rails are attachable to the base of a radial arm power saw, and the ends of the guide rails are supported on adjustable height legs. Work pieces are positioned against the fence pins and tightly clamped to the table top. An operator feeds work to a saw by pushing or pulling on handles that are attached to the table top.

Abstract: A ski stress signaling device comprising a pair of strain gauges mounted on the top surface of each of a pair of skis with one strain gauge in front of the boot and the other strain gauge behind the boot. Each pair of strain gauges is connected by electrical conductor wires to a bridge circuit. The magnitude and polarity of the voltage output of the bridge circuit is determined by the amount of strain measured at the tops of the skis by the four gauges. The amplified output of the bridge circuit is used by a pair of LED (light emitting diode) drivers to control the illumination of two pluralities of LEDs mounted around the periphery of a pair of goggles worn by the skier.
