Abstract: A hanger clip of a type for use with conventional suspended ceiling beams that have L-shaped beams along the wall of a room to which the ceiling is applied and vertical T-shaped beams extending transversely of the room, which hanger clip can be used with both beans but is formed with a return section which permits the hanger to suspend items from the L-shaped section so that they will be against the walls of the room but which can additionally be used with the vertical T-shaped beams for midroom suspensions.
Abstract: A tissue holding and processing technique suitable for immunofluorescence, histochemical, and light microscopic analysis of the same specimen. The tissue is first placed in formol sucrose, and then transferred to gum sucrose. The tissue is subsequently washed in phosphate buffered saline, then acetone-water, then acetone, and finally in xylene. Finally, the tissue is embedded in paraffin. Tissue processed according to the present invention may be stored indefinitely in the gum sucrose or paraffin.

Abstract: A funnel of a type having a cup and a hollow stem extending from the bottom thereof whereby a plurality of struts support a member that extends upwardly from the center of the cup and is shaped so that it drivingly engages the driven end of a socket wrench.
Abstract: A process and product for the manufacture of a composite plastic lens wherein the plastic lens component is subjected to ultraviolet rays under conditions to eliminate substantially any unreacted double bonds therein.
Abstract: An adjustable splint made of silver or gold alloys for stabilizing in extension or realigning the interphalangeal joints of the fingers and thumb consisting of two elliptical rings joined by an elliptical spacer. The individually sized proximal and distal elliptical rings are worn about the fingers on either side of the joint being splinted and disposed at an angle with respect to the axis of the finger. The rings are joined by an elliptical spacer which is placed over the dorsal surface of the joint and sized to distribute and spread the pressure uniformly and comfortably over the surface of the joint. The spacer acts in conjunction with the proximal and distal rings to hold the finger in varying degrees of extension, depending on the adjustment of the splint. The splint may be rotated 90.degree., placing the spacer on the lateral border of a joint to realign an angularly deviated joint.
Abstract: A turntable for an electronic range comprises: a tray-supporting element which is provided with a plurality of arms radially arranged and having rollers at end portions thereof, a substantially triangular concave portion at its lower surface, and a through-hole at its central portion; and a coupling unit which is provided with a boss portion received in the through-hole of the tray-supporting element, a substantially triangular flange portion engaged with the concave portion of the tray-supporting element, and a shaft receiving sleeve for receiving a driving shaft of an electric motor, which shaft receiving sleeve is integrally formed in a lower portion of the coupling unit.
Abstract: An attachment for a flexible package is disclosed to enable the user to fasten a re-closable package. A bifurcated adhesive member is secured to the body portion of the package at a distance from the opening thereof. The member has a jaw-like construction with hingeline about which one of the jaws may pivot. When the jaws are opened by the user, the re-closed, folded end of the package may be inserted therebetween, and the jaws subsequently closed to retain the package in re-closed condition. It is particularly useful for flexible packages of corn flakes, potato chips, cheese, etc., where portions of the contents are removed over a period of time, gradually decreasing the volume of the contents and forming a sequentially smaller package which should be re-sealed to preserve the freshness of the contents.
Abstract: An apparatus and process for the decomposition of waste tires while removing and recovering important segments of the oils and carbon black residues of combustion through a system of sequentially arranged tanks through which the gases of combustion are caused to travel a tortuous path. The fan that draws the gases of combustion through the intake tanks then blows the partially-cleaned gases through a system of sequentially arranged exhaust tanks that completes the removal of carbon black and also filters obnoxious and deleterious materials form the gases prior to discharge to the atmosphere.
Abstract: A process is described for producing a water-soluble soybeam extract comprising the steps of hydrating soybeans, crushing the hydrated soybeams at an elevated temperature to form a soybean and water slurry and thereafter thermally treating the slurry. The slurry is then separated into a liquid extract containing portion and a solid portion. If desired, a solid soybean extract powder is recovered by removal of water form the liquid extract containing portion. Also disclosed is a liquid or soluble soybean extract produced by this process which contains a relatively high percentage of protein and a taste similar to cooked cereal.

Abstract: A joinder system for providing a seal between a pair of opposed walls is formed to include a sealing element consisting essentially of a body of resilient material having at least one continuous cavity formed internally thereof, with the cavity being filled with an appropriate material under pressure in order to effect flexure of the sealing element during formation of the joint. Adhesive material is applied externally between the outer walls of the sealing element and the opposed walls which are to be joined together. As the filling material is introduced into the cavity of the sealing element it promotes deformation of the external contour thereof in order to adapt the sealing element to the shape of the joint which is formed and in order simultaneously to apply pressure against the adhesive.
Abstract: The subject of the invention is represented by a process and a layout for feeding gas stored in a cavern storage facility into a consumer network, in which a high feed-out rate for removal of gas over a protracted period of time can be achieved by means of a multistage procedure by prescribing specific supply line paths between the individual storage caverns and the consumer network to be supplied and by coordinating removal of gas from the individual storage caverns at an originally high storage pressure to a minimum residual pressure which is still below the operating pressure in the consumer network, by means of suitably controlled shut-off valves in the connecting supply line system between storage caverns and consumer network, the only ancillar equipment provided being a compressor station also required for feeding gas into the storage caverns.
Abstract: A fragrance sack for selectively scenting the surrounding area comprises an outer layer of cosmetically attractive material covering an upper surface and a lower surface, filler material contained within the outer layer, a replaceable scenting element anchored to the outer surface layer, and a receiving pocket formed in the seam between the meeting edges of the upper and lower surface of the outer layer. The scenting element carries the desired fragrance and is inserted into the receiving pocket to provide the fragrance sack with the desired odor. In addition, the scenting element may be removed from the pocket to be renewed with the same fragrance or replaced by a new scenting element having a different fragrance. In this manner, the fragrance sack may carry an acceptively strong odor for an extended period of time or may carry a variety of different odors.
Abstract: A container for injection needles of the type used with a syringe having a needle casing and a closure cap with an aperture through which slidably receives a member extending longitudinally outwardly from said casing, the distal end of said member having a grasping surface whereby the casing is supportable by one hand of the syringe user as the needle is re-inserted into the container after use with the other hand, the continued effect of which is to cause both hands to be rearwardly of the needle during re-insertion.
Abstract: The invention is described toward a collapsible disposable umbrella formed from plastic, polyethylene and/or kraft paper components. The invention has a tubular container that serves as a handle when the umbrella is in use. The other components of the unit are stored within the container and when partially removed therefrom, an umbrella support structure expands and locks into position with a few simple movements.

Abstract: A support structure such as but not limited to bags, carrying cases, suitcases, file cabinets and storage boxes, including a pegged matrix base structure for permitting a variable configuration of at least one retaining board received thereon. Each said retaining board would include article holders and is detachable from said container floor for expedient access of articles thereto and from. The rows and columns of pegs receive retaining boards in a guiding relationship for secure but detachable engagement. Articles contained on each board may be separately managed and manipulated apart from those of other boards, and removed from the container floor. Removable article holders may be flexibly coupled to the retaining boards for selective configuration of articles on each board.
