    Abstract: There is disclosed a plug cap device (11) for an internal combustion engine wherein a bore (15) receiving a corrugation portion and a cylindrical portion of an insulator of a spark plug has a first portion (15a) corresponding to the corrugation portion and a second portion (15b) corresponding to the cylindrical portion such that the inner diameter (.phi.P) of the first portion (15a) corresponding to the corrugation portion of the insulator is slightly smaller than the outer diameter of a major diameter portion of the corrugation portion and such that the inner diameter (.phi.Q) of the second portion (15b) corresponding to the cylindrical portion of the insulator gradually decreases from the inner diameter (.phi.P) of the first portion (15a) toward an insertion opening at which the spark plug is inserted to provide a tapered configuration, whereby the plug cap device (11) insures an improved electrical sealing property and provides high operating efficiency when fitted over and removed from the spark plug.

    Abstract: A joint connector having a connector housing and containing electrical wires having terminals on their distal ends. Some terminals are electrically coupled to each other through a shorting plate. There are two groups of chambers accommodating terminals, one group over the other, with a joint chamber between. Apertures in at least some of each group of chambers are in communication with the joint chamber and the shorting plate is in the joint chamber facing the apertures. The chambers have open ends, into which terminals are introduced, and closed ends remote therefrom. Some of each group of chambers have open ends facing front and some of each group of chambers have open ends facing back. Certain of the terminals have tongue pieces which project through the apertures into the joint chamber when they are in the chambers.

The ferromagnetic powder of the upper layer is a ferromagnetic metal powder containing Fe and Al, and the ratio of non magnetic powder to magnetic powder in the lower magnetic layer is from 50/50 to 99/1.

The area 7 having a predetermined width extends transversely of the cable body 8. A shield tape 5 is wrapped around the cable body so as to shield the cable body.
