    Abstract: A wiener stick applicator composed of a drum or magazine rotatable about its horizontal longitudinal axis and having parallel grooves extending longitudinally of its exterior for supporting handle sticks and wieners or wieners/half wieners, in axial aligned relationship, fed to the grooves from chute or hopper means. One end portion or generally one-half of each groove is relatively narrow for snugly receiving one of the sticks, while the remainder of each groove is relatively wide and generally equal to the diameter of the wieners. A coaxial casing circumscribes the drum in spaced relationship and coacts with the grooves to confine the sticks and wieners against displacement. The casing has an inlet opening extending longitudinally of the drum for admitting an axially aligned stick and wiener to each groove. A outlet opening, extending longitudinally of the drum, is provided in the casing in spaced relation to the inlet opening for the ejection of wieners impaled on sticks.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a safety closure apparatus for a pressure vessel, particularly for a vessel such as a pump stabilizer which has a gas compartment and a liquid compartment therein, both of which are normally pressurized. The apparatus includes a safety head configured to cover the closure means of the vessel to prevent its actuation; a liquid pressure bleed valve which must be removed before the safety hood can be moved off of the closure means, thereby insuring depressurization of the liquid compartment prior to opening; and gas pressure bleed means automatically operable upon movement of the safety hood off of the closure means, thereby also insuring depressurization of the gas compartment before access can be had to the closure means to actuate it to open the vessel.

    Abstract: Disclosed is an apparatus for increasing the effectiveness of hammer-type pile drivers by making possible the use of higher hammer velocities without damaging the pile or the equipment. The apparatus includes a pair of aligned cylinders of unequal diameter, the smaller of which contains an anvil piston and the larger of which contains a driving piston, connected to a pile cap engageable with a pile. Means are provided for applying a deadweight load to the apparatus and for maintaining the space lying between the pistons full of liquid. In addition to enabling use of higher hammer velocities, the apparatus effectively incorporates the deadweight load into driving force when the hammer strikes.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a shower head dispenser for bath oil and the like which includes a body member with an axial bore adapted for insertion between a shower line and a shower head. The body member has two longitudinally spaced apertures in its side wall which communicate between the bore and a detachable oil container. A plug is rotatably mounted in the bore of the body. It has an axial venturi bore therethrough, and a pair of transverse bores, one of which intercepts the axial bore at the venturi throat, and the other of which intercepts the axial bore upstream of the throat. The transverse bores of the plug are registrable with the apertures of the body upon rotation of the plug. When water passes through the venturi bore of the plug with the transverse bores aligned with the apertures, the greater pressure at the upstream bore and aperture forces oil out of the container through the downstream bore and aperture into the venturi throat, where it mixes with water enroute to the shower head.

At least one of opposed outer lateral margins is slidably confined whereby cover is removable upon elevating closure panels at their hinged inner margins and simultaneously sliding said outer lateral panel margins toward each other and out of confinement so as to permit folding of said cover.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a channel shaped building panel especially adapted for installation on the underside of a roofing framework. The panel has opposed upstanding webs, one of which is provided with outwardly oriented generally L-shaped female locking and mounting means, and the other of which is provided with an inwardly oriented male locking means, both locking means terminating in detent ribs. At the juncture of the female locking means with its web, an integral inwardly oriented scabbard is formed, and a complementary outwardly oriented integral blade is formed at the juncture of the male locking member with its web. Upon upward insertion of the male locking member into the female locking member, the detent ribs interact in snap fashion, and the blade seats in the scabbard. The female locking and mounting member provides a surface for attachment of a fastener to the roofing framework.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a high pressure intensifier for liquids which includes a housing having a pair of interconnected intensifying chambers with a pair of orifice effect valves, one located in each chamber, but carried on a single stem. The valves are arranged to alternately block the flow of liquid from each chamber to a low pressure exhaust port. Each intensifying chamber is provided with a high pressure exhaust port having a check valve therein. Liquid is fed to each chamber through ram tubes arranged in a trombone configuration. When flow from one intensifying chamber to the low pressure exhaust is blocked, the inertia of the decelerating liquid in the ram tube for that chamber forces a stream of high pressure liquid out through the high pressure exhaust port for that chamber.

    Abstract: Disclosed is an automatically variable transmission of the planetary type in which the planet gears of the main or power gear train are carried on a rotatable power cage but are not bounded by an internally toothed ring gear. The transmitted torque and speed (relative to input speed) are functions of the rate of rotation of the power cage. Power cage rotation is controlled by driving it through a second or control planetary gear train having a similar rotatable control cage, the source of power being the input shaft of the transmission. The speed ratio of the main gear train decreases from input to output, while that of the control gear train increases. In operation, the rotational speeds of the power cage and the control cage adjust automatically upon variations in load to values appropriate for delivery of the amount of torque required at the required speed.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a wall framing system having vertical and horizontal mullions each formed of an interior piece and an exterior piece connected together by internal plastic clips. Water diverters are mounted internally of the horizontal mullions for diverting intruded water to exit points on the exterior sides of the mullions. At the crossings of vertical and horizontal mullions, internal water diverter bridge pieces connect through the vertical mullions from the water diverter in one horizontal mullion to the water diverter in the other. The vertical mullion faces each have a height substantially equal to a coextensive with the panels they grip to facilitate glazing and reglazing. A special open channel horizontal mullion with joint forming flanges therein is disclosed, together with a novel snap lock cover system therefor. Installation of the wall system is facilitated by deep glazing pocket vertical jambs, the two piece vertical mullions, and assymetrical glazing gaskets.
