  • Patent number: 8281130
Abstract: To provide an authentication system for improving security, using fewer encryption keys. An authentication requesting device (20) and an authentication target device (10) hold common encryption keys. The authentication requesting device (20) encrypts an authentication code, then selects mutually different portions in the authentication code as switching target portions, and sends an encrypted authentication code and information about the switching target portions to the authentication target device (10). The authentication target device (10) switches the switching target portions in a code obtained by decrypting the received code, to thereby produce a switched authentication code, then encrypts the switched authentication code, and sends to the authentication requesting device (20).

Abstract: A method of encrypting and transmitting data and a system for transmitting encrypted data. The method includes one or more different encryption algorithms, and may include employing different encryption algorithms to achieve multiple levels of encryption. A first encryption algorithm is based upon multiple rearrangements of bits representing data to obtain encoded data. A second encryption algorithm is based upon performing multiple XOR operations on bits representing data so that each data word is at least encoded with previous data words. The system comprises first and second computers and a plurality of communication parameters. The two computers are communicably connected to a network, and the second computer is adapted to route a transmission to the first computer. The transmission includes a data part and a header part, both of which are encrypted by the second computer utilizing the communication parameters. The first computer decrypts the transmission utilizing the communication parameters.

  • Patent number: 8271497
Abstract: In a position history analysis unit for analyzing a position history to acquire movement history information such as places of stay, a speed history computation unit refers to the position history to determine a speed occurring at each point of time and to obtain a speed history. A categorization unit organizes a time axis in the position history, and, ultimately, data for position coordinates occurring at respective points of time, into segments of stay and segments of movement, by checking the speed history against a threshold value. A merge unit detects segments of stay which occur at different points of time but which are identified as indicating stays in the same place, by feeding the time flow, categorized into segments of stay and segments of movement by the categorization unit based on the speed, back to the position coordinates in the respective segments. The merge unit merges the segments of stay as needed.

  • Patent number: 8266298
Abstract: One system distributes a request for providing a service using a first communication protocol, from a terminal device to a server selected from among a plurality of servers by a server load balancer in response to the request. A corresponding relation between identification information for identifying a session generated in a distributed server and the server that has generated the session corresponding to the identification information is set in the server load balancer by the service of a second communication protocol as uniqueness assurance information for uniqueness assurance. Thus, when the provision of a service is requested using a second communication protocol by the terminal device, the server load balancer refers to the set uniqueness assurance information and selects the server for providing the service from among the plurality of servers.
