  • Patent number: 6883157
Abstract: The present invention relates to a BWB wiring design system, and provides a BWB transmission wiring design system capable of guaranteeing the super high-speed operation of a system composed of a BWB and a plurality of printed circuit boards mounted on the BWB. The BWB transmission wiring design system consists mainly of a manager system that manages the wiring in the entire BWB system composed of the plurality of printed circuit boards, and a designer system that designs the wiring on each of the plurality of printed circuit boards while communicating with the manager system. The manager system presents the designer system predetermined design target values relevant to the entire BWB system. Moreover, the manager system presents the designer system the result of judgment made from design information, which is sequentially distributed from the designer system, on whether the design target values can be attained.

  • Patent number: 6879594
Abstract: A method for avoiding loops from forming when setting up label switched paths is provided. The method uses a Label Splicing Message is followed by an Acknowledgment message to determine if loops are formed in the process of joining a new node or subtree to a multicast MPLS tree. By verifying that the path towards the root of the MPLS tree is loop-free during the construction of the tree, this method complements the loop detection mechanism provided by the label switched protocol (LDP).

  • Patent number: 6879687
Abstract: An apparatus which produces a ringing signal for a telephone system, effectively suppressing impulse noises. A ringing voltage generator produces a ringing voltage. A ringing signal sending unit sends a ringing signal to the called telephone terminal over the subscriber line by outputting the ringing voltage intermittently. This ringing signal consists of ringing periods and silent periods which will appear alternately with a prescribed duty cycle. One of those silent periods is used by a data transfer unit used to transport data to the called terminal. A feed impedance setting unit provides a feed voltage with higher source impedance. A feed impedance selection unit selects a low-impedance feed voltage in the one of the silent periods during which a data transfer is performed, and selects a high-impedance feed voltage in the other silent periods during which no data transfer is scheduled.

  • Patent number: 6877916
Abstract: Motifs and patterns are generated by computer and printed an fabric, paper or plastic materials in continuous non-repeating patterns. The data is produced automatically by a random math algorithm, so that each of the printed patterns is similar, but tot identical. The layout is arranged in a random manner, so that every pan of the print is unique and exclusive. The size, color, motifs as well as the level of similarity or variety of the motifs and any other parameter essential to the design are all managed by the software.

  • Patent number: 6875985
Abstract: An infrared absorption gauge includes a detector circuit including a detector for detecting electromagnetic radiation from a sample and for generating a signal representing the radiation received, and means for stabilizing a response characteristic of the detector to the radiation detected thereby, said stabilizing means having a GaAs diode for directing radiation at the detector and means for controlling the radiation source in dependence upon the signal generated by the detector. The stabilizing means thus acts as a negative feedback loop and seeks to maintain the overall illumination irradiating the detector (i.e. the combined illumination that is reflected back from the sample and that is emitted by the GaAs diode), at a substantially constant predetermined level, which tends to linearize and extend the frequency response of the detector to the radiation detected.

  • Patent number: 6873223
Abstract: An RF switch useable up to millimeter wave frequencies and higher frequencies of 30 GHz and above. Four embodiments of the invention are configured as ground switches. Two of the ground switch embodiments are configured with a planar air bridge. Both of these embodiments are configured so that the bridge length is shortened between the transmission line and ground by introducing grounded stops. The other two ground switch embodiments include an elevated metal seesaw. In these embodiments, a shortened path to ground is provided with relatively low inductance by proper sizing and positioning of the seesaw structure. Lastly, broadband power switch embodiment is configured to utilize only a small portion of the air bridge to carry the signal. The relatively short path length results in a relatively low inductance and resistance lowers the RF power loss of the switch, thereby increasing the RF power handling capability of the switch.
