  • Patent number: 7985035
Abstract: An application for a flow control system includes a movable plunger held within a stationary riser, the stationary riser being in fluid communication with a drainage system. The movable plunger is buoyant, assisted by one or more attached floats such that, when the liquid level around the flow control system increases to a pre-determined level, the movable plunger lifts due to the buoyancy, thereby maintaining the pre-determined distance between the surface level and a bottom surface of the movable plunger, keeping the flow rate at an approximately constant level independent of the water level.

  • Patent number: 7980578
Abstract: An application for a device for human conveyance includes a front wheel and a rear wheel. The rear wheel interfaced to a sprocket through a ratchet drive system which allows forward rotation of the rear wheel in response to forward rotation of the sprocket and allows free backward rotation of the sprocket. A frame interfaces the front wheel to the rear wheel keeping the front wheel at a constant distance from the rear wheel. The front and rear wheels are rotatably interfaced to the frame. A front end of an arc-shaped spring is affixed to the frame in proximity to the front wheel and a rear end of the arc-shaped spring has a sprocket gear interfaced to the sprocket whereas depression of the arc-shaped spring pushes the rear-end of the arc-shaped spring in a rearward direction with respect to the rear wheel and the sprocket gear turns the sprocket in a forward rotational direction.

  • Patent number: 7975985
Abstract: A rod activated water valve includes a valve base that mates with a standard water faucet. A valve housing attaches to the second end of the valve base, and has an inward protruding lip at a bottom end. The valve includes a water flow chamber with a solid cylindrical outer surface and a substantially flat foraminous surface at one end. An aperture is located central to the flat foraminous surface and a top edge of the water flow chamber has a lip for holding an upper plate o-ring. A rod having a rod head at one end passes through the aperture and is held in place by the rod head. A valve stem for selectively blocking the flow of water from the water faucet to the water flow chamber, activated by the rod head and providing a gradual stopping of the flow of water, thereby reducing water hammer.
