  • Patent number: 6807961
Abstract: A marble and granite nipping tool that includes a pair of blade support plates as blade mounting ends whereto nipping blades having opposing nipping edges are releasably mounted and provides for setting a selected opposing nipping edge spacing to allow a use of the tool on different widths or thicknesses of marble and granite slabs, for removing or nipping off edge sections thereof. The tool includes a linkage consisting of lever arms secured at lever arm ends to the blade support plates undersurfaces that connect, in turn, through a pivot coupling to scissoring arms that and operated to provide a mechanical advantage to multiply a closure force directed through the scissoring arms and linkage and into the blade support plates for facilitating the removal of marble and granite edge sections. Which scissoring arms can, in one embodiment, be manually closed by an operator moving ends of the arms together, and, in another embodiment, by operation of a an automated scissoring arm closure arrangement.

  • Patent number: 6737150
Abstract: A folding floor mat that is formed from a plurality of panels formed from a resilient polymeric material and having a work surface and a grip surface. Flexible hinge assemblies foldably join at least two of the panels along a fold boundary, which preferably incorporates a plurality of channels that are integrally formed in the work and grip surfaces. More preferably, the channels are laterally spaced apart about the grip and or work sides. Even more preferably, the channel or channels formed in the work surface are staggered relative to the channel or channels formed in the grip surface. Also, each channel is ideally shaped to optimize relief internal material stresses of the polymeric material during and after it has been folded.

  • Patent number: 6708674
Abstract: The invention is in a regulator and converter operated to fumigate a volatile material, preferably a liquified petroleum gas (LPG), under vacuum, into an intake air flow of an internal combustion diesel engine to provide, on demand generated by an operator closing a throttle, passage of LPG to the regulator and converter wherein it is vaporized and the LPG vapors are passed into the engine intake air flow that travels into the engine. The injection of LPG vapors provides for an increase in engine output power and an improvement in fuel percentage of burn. The regulator and converter is connected the engine coolant system to receive a hot coolant flow, heating an LPG flow path therethrough to vaporize the LPG with the LPG vapors then directed from the regulator and converter into the engine intake air flow.
