Abstract: A wire connecting block for use in 110-style cross connect systems in which the contacts include a pair of oppositely directed tabs to secure the contact in the housing against a pair of oppositely directed ledges formed in the contact receiving slots. The connector is formed by a method that utilizes a punching operation to secure the contacts by the double tab locking arrangement as described.
Abstract: A fixture for engagement with a duct or raceway of the type having a base and an integral cover, wherein the fixture includes a pair of arms for maintaining the cover in the open position. The fixture includes pilot guide holes for locating drilling positions for mounting the duct to a wall.
Abstract: Connector mounting receptacles include a wall plate a having a spaced apart tooth and resilient latch disposed to engage mounting slots in a modular connector to releasably mount the connector to the receptacle. The connector includes corner mounting slots disposed to engage lateral stops formed in the wall plate. Steel wall plate receptacles are integrally formed of conductive metal with the connector latching features being configured to concurrently releasably latch and conductively ground a shielded connector mounted in the receptacle.

Abstract: A cable tie having a reduction in occurrences of neck breaks is provided by positioning a knockout impression adjacent the cable tie head and providing strengthening gussets along the strap and extending past the knockout impression area.
Abstract: An optical fiber junction box includes a wall having an entry slot at least partially defined by spaced apart edges; and a conduit for enclosing an optical fiber having a plurality of radial grooves, wherein an outer diameter of at least one of the radial grooves is approximately equal to a distance between the spaced apart edges such that the conduit is secured to the junction box when the spaced apart edges of the entry slot are positioned in one of the radial grooves of the conduit.
Abstract: A termination tool for terminating a plurality of wires to a modular connector, of the type consisting of a housing adapted to mate with a standard connector and contacts having insulation displacement portions disposed outwardly of the housing and further including a fixture for positioning the wires with respect to the insulation displacement portions. The tool includes a pair of ribs projecting from a first planar contacting section and a second upwardly angled lever section. The tool further includes a vertically oriented blade extending from the generally rectangular front end to untwist twisted wire pairs.
