  • Patent number: 5661928
Abstract: An automatic end closure system for use in conjunction with a typical telescoping bleacher assembly. The automatic end closure system substantially blocks ingress and egress to the undersection of the telescoping bleacher assembly which prevents mischievous or curious spectators from causing harm to themselves or to the equipment contained in the undersection. The automatic end closure system basically includes a plurality of panels, a plurality of guidance tracks, a plurality of panel locking engagements and wheels. Each of the panels may be composed of an inner metal framing covered with a wooden facade. The automatic end closure system may be an add-on or integrated component of the telescoping bleacher assembly. Once connected to the telescoping bleacher assembly, the automatic end closure system automatically expands and retracts with the expansion and retraction of the telescoping bleacher assembly.

  • Patent number: 5662047
Abstract: A portable fold-up, tray attachable to the steering wheel of a motorized vehicle made up of two rigid, U-shaped frames of different size so that the smaller thereof is nestable within the larger frame corresponding arms of the two frames are pivotally interconnected to afford folding movement of the smaller frame relative to the larger frame. Stops are provided for limiting such folding movement and a pair of rigid links are pivotally joined to the arms of the larger frame to move outwardly therefrom in a direction opposite to the movement of the smaller frame; such links carrying parallel, elongated members for embracing the front and back sides of a peripheral portion of the vehicle steering wheel whereby to removeably support the tray in working position.

  • Patent number: 5640895
Abstract: A cooking grill apparatus having superposed, vertically separable, heated grill plates, the uppermost one of which is pivotally connected to the outer ends of two laterally spaced arms which pivot simultaneously about an elevated horizontal pivot axis whereby the upper grill is moveable about such pivot axis with and selectively relative to such spaced arms. The upper grill carries a pair of like parallelogram linkage systems along its lateral margins which include adjustable stop means for engaging parallel stationary reference surfaces paralleling the plane of the cooking surface for the stationary lower grill plate. Selected movement of the parallelogram linkage system to change the vertical position of the stop means is determined by selectively operable gauge means for limiting movement of the linkage systems and thus movement of the stop means towards the references surfaces whereby the spacing between the two grill plates during cooking operation is correspondingly selectively limited.

  • Patent number: 5603505
Abstract: A self-contained, power operated, portable target apparatus utilizing a base supported, linearally reciprocal carriage actuator driven by a reversible AC electric motor to actuate a crank along a vertical arc; the crank having pivotable connection with the carriage actuator at one end and positive fixed connection at its other end with a horizontal rotatably supported drive shaft for partially rotating the shaft in response to limited linear movements of the carriage actuator. Two, laterally spaced co-planar lift arms are secured to the shaft for movement between vertical and horizontal positions. Elongated target supporting pins project from near the outer free ends of the lift arms for inserted reception in connector sockets extending into the body of a three dimensional target. Heavy springs are coupled to the carriage actuator for assisting the motor in overcoming the inertia of the target load as it is raised from a horizontal or prone hidden position to an upright display position.
