  • Patent number: 7549248
Abstract: An animal decoy is provided that is easy to assemble for field use and easy to transport. The animal decoy has three panels assembled to one another to extend outward at approximately equal angles from a central point. Each panel has a cutout in the body area in which a flexible link suspends a tail to be freely moved by a breeze. The panels are assembled by resilient straps to be folded for transport and storage and quickly unfolded for field use. A realistic decoy of the rear of an animal is seen when viewed from any angle, with a tail that moves in natural fashion.

  • Patent number: 7494420
Abstract: A sports swing aid is adapted for being mounted on a shaft of a sports implement, for example a golf club. The sports swing aid has a conical shaped mounting block with a channel formed to straddle the shaft. A rotor is removably assembled on the mounting block. The rotor has an array of vanes on the periphery thereof to cause the rotor to rotate when the sports implement is moved through the air. An eccentric weight is provided to impart a vibration as the rotor rotates and thus generate feedback to the sports player indicative of the smoothness and speed of the swing.

  • Patent number: 7472614
Abstract: A sampler for acquiring a sample of blended powder from diverse locations within a bin is described. The sampler has a cylinder with a hollow chamber formed therein and is connected to a handle for rotation within a housing tube. Rotation causes the chamber to move into or out of alignment with an aperture in the housing tube. When the sampler is inserted axially into a batch of blended powder, the cylinder is rotated to align the chamber with the aperture in the housing cap, allowing powder to enter the chamber. The cylinder is rotated back to close the chamber, and the sampler is withdrawn from the powder batch. The cap is removed from the housing and the cylinder is removed from the housing to transfer the sample of powder for analysis.

  • Patent number: 7468663
Abstract: A building security system includes a visible video camera and a hidden video camera in each room. Personnel in each room carries a portable signaling device that includes a level sensor to automatically generate a signal indicating the personnel is down. Each room has remotely controlled door locks. All cameras, signaling devices and locks are linked to a security station including a router and computer. Police are provided with secure codes to obtain access to the computer, view the video and communicate with selected rooms in the building.

  • Patent number: 7426258
Abstract: A high resolution magnifying X-ray fluoroscope using a low dose beam includes a scintillator for receiving an X-ray beam and converting the X-ray energy into visible light. The scintillator is in intimate optical contact with a non-demagnifying image intensifier that presents the visible light image through a close-up lens system to an optically magnifying, autofocus, programmable, closed circuit video camera. The fluoroscope is mounted on a moveable frame in a position that is opposed to an X-ray source.

  • Patent number: 7204164
Abstract: The powder analytical apparatus of the invention includes a hopper that is connected to a controllable agitator by a separable link. The hopper has an exit port at its lower end that is at an acute angle to the axis of the hopper. A planar gate is mounted parallel to the exit port of the hopper and is movable incrementally to allow powder to flow out of the hopper into a bin residing on a scale. The controllable agitator is a vibrator device capable of variation of frequency and amplitude. Control of the vibrator, the gate position and input from the scale are by means of a PLC. In a second embodiment, the exit port is formed perpendicular to the axis of the hopper and the gate is conical to emulate the angular flow pattern of the first embodiment.

  • Patent number: 6996954
Abstract: An apparatus and method are provided for enwrapping a horizontally oriented product in a sleeve. A sleeve is formed by opening a flat tubular film and cutting a selected length of tubing. The sleeve is further opened in a forming tube to a cross sectional shape comparable with the cross sectional shape of the product. The forming tube is moved from a receiving position to a discharge position and the sleeve is moved in a horizontal plane to enclose the axially aligned product carried on a horizontally oriented conveyor.

  • Patent number: 6966164
Abstract: The tubular banding applicator converts a flat tubular material into a cut length expanded tubular sleeve and mounts the sleeve circumferentially on a container. A driver moves a selected length of flat tubular material from a supply station, around a spreader, and into a hollow former having a retaining gate at an exit thereof. A cutter severs the selected length of tubular material from the supply station and a flow of air directed at a side of the flat tubular length assists in opening the sleeve. A conveyor carries a series of containers along a path to position each container in turn in alignment with the opened tubular sleeve. The driver moves a second selected length of flat tubular material from the supply into the former, thereby ejecting the first open sleeve from the former onto a container aligned below. The sleeve is subsequently caused to shrink to securely enwrap the container.
