  • Patent number: 8346154
Abstract: A conveyance control mechanism for a printer including an image forming unit forming an image on a sheet being conveyed on a conveyance route, includes a curl detector configured to detect a curl of the sheet conveyed on the conveyance route, in an upstream of the image forming unit on the conveyance route. The conveyance route controller may drive and stop the conveyance route differently depending on whether the curl detector detects a curl at either a front end or at a position other than the front end. When the curl detector detects a curl of the sheet, an image forming route where the image forming unit performs an image formation may be separated and retreated from the conveyance route and the sheet being conveyed may be discharged onto the retreated image forming route.

  • Patent number: 8343253
Abstract: A method for producing conductor fine particles in which the advantages of conventional vapor phase method and liquid phase method are utilized while eliminating the drawbacks of both methods remarkably. Furthermore, definite guidelines and measure for improvement are given to the greatest problems common to the vapor phase method and liquid phase method, i.e., enhancement in quality of the unit fine particle and a fine particle production method controllably temporarily and regionally. The method for producing conductor fine particles comprises a step for applying a voltage to a pair of electrode consisting of a positive electrode and a negative electrode arranged in conductive liquid and generating plasma in the vicinity of the negative electrode, and a step for producing conductor fine particles by melting the metal material of the negative electrode and then re-solidifying.

  • Patent number: 8337025
Abstract: A projection type display device includes a image displaying element having image display areas for displaying a plurality of images respectively, a projection optical system having an emitting part for emitting projection light flux to the image display areas of the image displaying element, and a plurality of screens for displaying projected images by the projection light flux transmitted through the image display areas of the image displaying element. In the projection type display device, the image display areas are formed in respective areas in the image displaying element independent of each other. The projected images on the screens correspond to the image display areas, respectively. Each of the screens is arranged in such a position that the each of the screens is not overlapped with shadows of the other screens which are produced since the projection light flux is emitted from the emitting part to the screens.

  • Patent number: 8333462
Abstract: An ink jet printer performs a print process by ejecting ink for each of a plurality of ink colors. When a predetermined first circulation time elapses after starting the ink circulation, an ink agitating operation drive signal generation unit applies an ink agitating operation drive signal to an ink ejecting unit set operable to eject an ink, which has a predetermined nature, for a first ink agitating operation time in a first period, and applies the ink agitating operation drive signal to an ink ejecting unit set operable to eject an ink, which has not the predetermined nature, for a second ink agitating operation time in a second period which is shorter than the first period. It is therefore possible to perform maintenance effectively in advance of starting the print process in accordance with the nature of ink.
