  • Patent number: 6890313
Abstract: A lie-down massager includes a base frame having an elongated top panel, through which an elongated top opening is formed centrally and lengthwise, a rider, a guide member movably engaged between the base frame and the rider so as to enable the rider to make a horizontally reciprocal movement, massage bumps that move vertically and horizontally along the top opening, and a lifter that holds the massage bumps and adjusts the height of the massage bumps. The lifter includes a top member, a bottom member, a screw shaft and a motor. The screw shaft engages with a nut block and the nut block is connected with the top member by two links so that rotation of the screw shaft is converted into horizontal movement of the nut block, and the horizontal movement of the nut block is converted into vertical movement of the top member.

  • Patent number: 6880661
Abstract: A motor drive for a bicycle is provided. The motor drive includes a drive wheel and a motor device driving the drive wheel. The drive wheel contacts the ground and moves the bicycle by rotating friction between the drive wheel and the ground. The motor device includes a fixing portion that attaches the motor device to the frame of the bicycle, and a driving portion that holds the drive wheel and drives the drive wheel. The driving portion is pivotable with respect to the fixing portion between a parking state and a driving state. The drive wheel is spaced from the ground in the parking state, and contacts the ground in the driving state.

  • Patent number: 6878307
Abstract: A piezoelectric ceramic composition firable at a reduced sintering temperature is provided. The main composition is expressed with the general formula: [(Pb1-m-n-pSrmBanCdp)(ZrxTi1-x)1-k(BiaMnb)k]O3+yBi2O3+z(Fluorine Compound) where 0.00?m<0.15, 0.00?n<0.15, 0.00<(m+n)<0.21, 0.00 <p<0.04, 0.50?x?0.56, 0.00<a?1.00, 0.00<b?1.00, 0.00<k<0.04, 0.00?y?1.00(in weight %), 0.00?z?1.00(in weight %) and fluorine compound is LiF or MgF2. The ceramic material of the invention can be advantageously used in multilayered piezoelectric ceramic devices, in piezoelectric ceramic transformers, in piezoelectric ceramic actuators or in piezoelectric ceramic transducers.

  • Patent number: 6877455
Abstract: The object of this invention is to provide a prefabricated boat consisting of a reinforced plastic boat body (1), and a rubber tube (2) detachably attached along each side of the body (1) to give buoyancy to the body (1). The sides of the boat body (1) each have a longitudinal guide groove (4) designed such that the tubes (2) are closely attached to the body (1) with enlarged contact surfaces between the tubes (2) and the body (1). Upper and lower brackets (6), each having a fitting groove (5), are formed along the upper and lower edges of each guide groove (4). Each tube (2) has two slidable fittings (7) engaging with the fitting grooves (5) of the two brackets (6). This boat thus minimizes hydraulic impact energy applied to the tubes (2) during a voyage, thus improving its sailing stability and cruising power as well as increasing its mileage.

  • Patent number: 6873739
Abstract: An image compression apparatus is provided, which includes a wavelet transformer, a quantizer, a comparator, a subtracter, a low data compressor and a high data compressor. The comparator compares the first quantization coefficients of the first quantization data, to output the maximum quantization coefficient. The subtracter subtracts the minimum quantization coefficient from the maximum quantization coefficient, to output a subtraction constant. The low data compressor subtracts the subtraction constant from the first quantization coefficients, to output low compression data obtained by compressing the first quantization data.

  • Patent number: 6868630
Abstract: A front-loading picture holding system comprising a transparent plate, a support surface supporting the transparent plate and a picture between the transparent plate and the support surface, and a base that receives the transparent plate and the support surface is provided. Magnets are fixed to the transparent plate and the support surface. The support surface has an edge that is located near the perimeter of the support surface and recessed into the rearward of the base. Ferromagnetic body may be used instead of the magnet either in the transparent plate or in the support surface. The transparent plate is removably attached to the support surface by magnetic force between the plate magnet and the corresponding surface magnet, and the transparent plate may be pulled apart by pressing the transparent plate over the edge and pivoting the transparent plate over the support surface.

  • Patent number: 6837278
Abstract: A method for making a fabric having a ground and pile threads inserted between the ground threads is provided. The method comprises a step of weaving two fabrics simultaneously so that the fabrics are positioned parallel and spaced by a predetermined distance, and the pile threads are inserted alternately between the ground threads of one fabric and between those of the other fabric. Also, each pile thread is wound around one of the ground threads by one or more turns. The method further comprises cutting the pile threads between the fabrics, and heat setting the fabrics to bind the pile threads to the ground firmly. The pile threads are made of acrylic yarn, and the weight percentage of the pile threads in the fabric is between 80 and ninety-five 95, and the weight percentage of the ground threads in the fabric is the remainder.
