  • Patent number: 6757237
Abstract: An apparatus for calibrating a tilt in a disc player includes a deck base, an optical pickup unit reciprocating in the radial direction of a disc and irradiating optical beams with respect to of the recording surface of the disc, a regulation plate supported on the deck base, a spindle motor secured to the regulation plate, a turntable driven and rotated by the spindle motor, on which the disc is loaded, and a revolving unit for rotating the regulation plate according to the crookedness of the recording surface on the disc. In the disc player tilt calibration apparatus, a cam unit is driven and rotated by a motor which rotates in the forward and reverse directions according to the crooked states on the disc recording surface, to thereby tilt the regulation plate. Accordingly, the tilt of the turntable can be adjusted to resultantly make a regulation work simplified and convenient.

  • Patent number: 6749239
Abstract: A chopstick manipulator comprises a bridge and clamps. Each clamp includes an inner support having an inner surface where an upper half of the inner surface has a mid portion so the bridge interconnects each mid portion thereof, a rear support extending from a rear end of the inner support so that about a right angle is formed by each outer surface of the inner and rear supports, and a distal support extending substantially forward from an outer end of the rear support while forming a substantially prismatic shape. The distal support is defined by an outer surface, a rearward slant surface and a forward slant surface so that a prismatic ridge by the respective slant surfaces approaches the outer surface of the inner support where an angle by the rear support and the rearward slant surface is less than 90 degrees.

  • Patent number: 6749531
Abstract: A multi-speed gear system for a chain transmission device of a bicycle is provided. The system includes a disc having a front plate, a rear plate, and a plurality of tooth series concentrically arranged in the disc and a tooth series selector. Each of the tooth series has a plurality of tooth blocks; the front plate of the disc has a plurality of tooth holes; and the rear plate of the disc has a plurality of rear holes. Each of the tooth blocks is either pushed into a corresponding one of the tooth holes or protrude out of the front plate and the tooth series selector selects one of the tooth series to change speed and makes the tooth blocks of the selected tooth series protrude out of the front plate.

  • Patent number: 6728570
Abstract: A radio frequency coil for a magnetic resonance image apparatus includes a first support frame provided with a first coil, a second support frame opposing the first support frame and provided with a second coil, a gap adjuster for adjusting a gap between the first and second support frames according to the size of a specimen, and a frequency sustainer for sustaining a resonance frequency set according to change of the gap. The magnetic resonance image apparatus adopting the radio frequency coil alleviates impatience of a patient, to thereby enable rejection of patients with respect to the magnetic resonance image apparatus to be solved. Also, the magnetic resonance image apparatus enables a patient to be imaged and during operation. In addition, the second support frame can be moved to reduce a gap between the first and second support frames to thereby greatly improve quality of an image.

  • Patent number: 6716487
Abstract: An article of manufacture for the construction of environmentally compatible stickers which are decorated using inkjet printing methods comprising a polymer plastisol biodegradable rubber resin as its primary ingredient to form one layer from bonding multiple layers. This removable/reusable sticker can even be used for preventing slippery in bathtub. And it is environmental friendly because of its biodegradable character when discarded. The inkjet printing method application is also effective in reducing number of manufacturing steps or processing stages to create vibrant custom inkjet produced images all at a relatively low cost.

  • Patent number: 6714496
Abstract: A method for calibrating a tilt in a disc player includes a disc insertion judgment step, a focus error output time judgment step, a subtraction step, a disc recording surface judgment step, and a tilt calibration step. In the focus error output time judgment step, an optical pickup unit is made to ascend and then descend for a predetermined time, to then judge a first focus error output time at which a focus error is output during ascending and a second focus error output time at which a focus error is output during descending. A focus error output difference time is obtained by subtracting the FET1 from the FET2. In the tilt calibration step, if the FET is not same as a reference focus error output difference time (FETrf), the turntable is made to rotate, to calibrate a tilt between the optical pickup unit and the disc.
