  • Patent number: 6037990
Abstract: A video signal processor for preventing image damage resulting from when a first signal and a second signal are converted into each other. When a first signal (an interlaced scanning format signal) is inputted, according to a mode discriminating signal from a mode discriminator, a mixer/selector receives the motion detecting signal from the mode discriminator, adaptively mixes both outputs of a delay circuit and a line interpolating filter (IPF) and uses the combined outputs as an interpolation signal. When a second signal (a progressive scanning format signal converted to an interlaced scanning format signal) is inputted, the mixer/selector selects either the output of the second signal or the output of a delay circuit according to the mode discriminating signal and the field indexes from the mode discriminator and makes it as an interpolation signal.

  • Patent number: 6026647
Abstract: A container useful for keeping food or beverages warm or cold includes a combination lid and tray door assembly. The lid and tray are both coupled to the container and to each other. The tray may be pivoted independently of the lid into a table top position and it may be separated from the container and used as a separate tray. The tray and lid are also pivotable together as an integral door assembly, and the lid is pivotable independently of the tray when the tray is removed or deployed as a table top. The overall height of the container is less than the overall length and the overall width so that the container has a low, stable center of gravity which permits it to be used on an unstable surface, such as an automobile seat, and so that the container does not obstruct movement or view of occupants of an automobile when it is used in an automobile.

  • Patent number: 6017617
Abstract: An article including a panel-like structure constructed to be mounted in an automobile vehicle to form a part of the interior thereof, and a process for making the same. According to this process, an outer layer defining at least a portion of the exposed exterior surface of the structure is prepared by applying a water-dispersed thermoplastic polyurethane composition and a heat-activated reactive crosslinking monomer onto a mold surface and thereafter drying the composition. Next, a rapidly reacting composition is sprayed onto an inner surface of the outer layer while the outer layer is retained on the mold surface to form a polyurethane elastomer inner layer that is interfacially chemical bonded to the outer layer. The inner layer with the outer layer interfacially chemically bonded thereto is then united with the rigid substrate so that the rigid substrate serves to reinforce the outer layer.
