  • Patent number: 7218344
Abstract: A system and method for efficiently performing a white balance operation preferably includes an electronic camera device that captures image data using a imaging device. A color manager may then convert the captured image data into perceptual color space data. The color manager may next create a histogram of chromaticity vectors corresponding to pixels from the perceptual color space data. The color manager may then derive a neutral core vector corresponding to a neutral core peak from the histogram. The color manager may advantageously utilize the neutral core vector to identify a scene illuminant corresponding to color channel amplifier gains, and may then adjust the captured image data with the color channel amplifier gains to thereby complete the white balance operation.

  • Patent number: 7088473
Abstract: A system and method for effectively implementing a dither matrix for an electronic printer device may preferably create an improved dither matrix with optimal threshold values for use in a corresponding dither tile. During a matrix populating procedure for assigning tile threshold values for the dither matrix, the dither tile may preferably be embedded within a larger frame area of additional adjacent frame cells. • Patent number: 6970818
Abstract: The present invention comprises a methodology for implementing a vocabulary set for use in a speech recognition system, and may preferably include a recognizer for analyzing utterances from the vocabulary set to generate N-best lists of recognition candidates. The N-best lists may then be utilized to create an acoustical matrix configured to relate said utterances to top recognition candidates from said N-best lists, as well as a lexical matrix configured to relate the utterances to the top recognition candidates from the N-best lists only when second-highest recognition candidates from the N-best lists are correct recognition results. An utterance ranking may then preferably be created according to composite individual error/accuracy values for each of the utterances. The composite individual error/accuracy values may preferably be derived from both the acoustical matrix and the lexical matrix.
