  • Patent number: 6425452
Abstract: A drive system for all-wheel drive vehicles is provided having separate front and rear transaxles powered by a single engine through a power transfer system. The transaxles each include a hydrostatic transmission and an axle, the hydrostatic gearing system within the hydrostatic transmission serving, in conventional manner, to transfer power from the engine to the axle and drive wheel or wheels. Thus, the front and rear transmissions each may include driving shafts, lay shafts, gear wheels, differentials, and/or other drive train entities employed in the art. A single shifting mechanism associated with the gear systems within each hydrostatic transmission is employed to operate the separate hydrostatic transmissions in harmony.

  • Patent number: 6390329
Abstract: An apparatus for dispensing a measured quantity of fluid includes a touchless object sensor and a container carrying a supply of fluid. A dispense mechanism is coupled to the container to control an amount of fluid to be dispensed. A pump actuator mechanism is connected to the object sensor such that detection of an object by the object sensor cycles the pump actuator mechanism to engage the dispense mechanism which, in turn, dispenses a measured quantity of fluid. A series of lights are sequentially illuminated to instruct a user where to place the object to activate the touchless sensor and the pump actuator mechanism.

  • Patent number: 6376437
Abstract: A skin cleansing composition suitable for removing ink and other stains from the hands and arms of a user includes an effective amount of a low molecular weight alcohol having from one to twelve carbon atoms and an effective amount of a peroxide releasing agent, e.g., a perborate salt, preferably sodium perborate, such that together, the alcohol and perborate salt provide a synergistic reaction that effectively removes ink from the skin of the user. Other additives such as fillers, abrasives, and detergents may be employed to provide further cleansing action.

  • Patent number: 6370724
Abstract: A multi-purpose brush incorporating structure which permits the selective performance of a plurality of cleaning operations with a single brush is disclosed. The brush includes a body with depending side and end legs and which has a first series of relatively soft flexible bristles thereon and a second series of bristles thereon which are shorter and stiffer. The body also has a roughened area comprising a plurality of short, stubby projections disposed on a part of the top surface of the brush and at least a part of the side legs. The body also has opposed depending end legs, at least one of which terminates in a tapered or sharpened point and an apertured mounting leg to facilitate storage of the brush when not in use. In another embodiment the roughened area is disposed on one of the side legs and an apertured mounting and cleaning extension extends outwardly from one of said end legs. This extension tapers to a sharpened distal end for cleaning purposes.

  • Patent number: 6367574
Abstract: A multi-function control system for use with an articulated vehicle for controlling speed and forward and rear movement of the vehicle through a single control. The system includes an operating lever connected to the vehicle by a double pivot and movable in a first direction to control the forward and reverse movement of the vehicle and in a second direction, normal to the first, to control movement of attachments carried by a hitch attached to the front of the vehicle simultaneously. A second operating lever may be connected to the vehicle by a double pivot and connected to the hydraulic valve for the hitch so that the hitch may be operated independently upon movement of the second lever alone in the second direction. The first and second operating levers are connected for movement together in the first direction.

  • Patent number: 6302608
Abstract: A brush and bottle combination is disclosed in which the bottle has a blind recessed area formed in its peripheral surface and a shoulder projecting outwardly into the blind recessed area. This shoulder is formed integrally with the body of the bottle and has notches provided in its supporting legs. The brush has a main body portion and depending opposed legs which are integral with and depend from side edges of the body. These legs terminate in inwardly directed ribs which are engageable with the recesses in the legs of the shoulder member so that the brush can be snapped into place on the body within the recess, or substantially within the recess, so that the outer surface of the brush body and the peripheral surface of the container are substantially flush when the brush is connected thereto.
