  • Patent number: 6311623
Abstract: An arrow is provided with a head that will take game in a more humane way and without long suffering. This new arrowhead is a dual powder-charged multiple-strength powered projectile that is activated after a delayed interval. As a result of the unleashed power caused by this activation, the arrowhead's bullet housing point will just flare out and the cases will induce powerful venting to rupture the vital organs nearby, or it will flare out and separate itself from the rest of the housing, the tissue anchored arrowhead causing damage by its path forward. Because all this action occurs inside the game's body, it is silent but gravely stunning to all organs. The result is on the spot drop and expiration, with minimal suffering and positive retrieval.

  • Patent number: 5411640
Abstract: The disclosed invention is an apparatus for the distillation of liquids. The apparatus has a plurality of vertically-stacked, parallel disks which are rotated. The liquid to be distilled is introduced into the center of the disk stack and migrates by centrifugal force as a thin film across side 1 of each disk. During migration, the more volatile portion evaporates from side 1 and condenses on side 2 of a neighboring disk. Energy requirements for distillation are provided by heat transfer from side 2 to side 1. The apparatus is substantially adiabatic in that vaporization and condensation occur without external supply of heating or cooling.

  • Patent number: 5336209
Abstract: A protective wound bandage which allows for the body's natural epitheliazation process to be enhanced by the function of said bandage in the following ways. A non-stick surface is provided to make contact with the wound. An absorbent pad is provided for body fluid drainage. The skin adhesive surfaces of the flexible plastic strip which can be made to any dimension, in combination with the pad act to protect and cohesively and coherently bind the wound edges together. The removably, reattachable, tear tab provides the ability to regulate and monitor oxygen flow to the injury site. The pad, in either the standard or perforated form acts to protect against shock and also acts as an medicant delivery system. The bandage acts as a medicant delivery system and is also simultaneously, variably, oxygenatable. The bandage is engineered to operate in either the dry or medicated versions.
