  • Patent number: 6246685
Abstract: In a cell assembling device, an ATM cell assemblage decomposes input signals channel by channel and outputs channel-by-channel signals. At the same time, the cell assemblage generates a write control signal. Further, when one cell of data is written to a buffer, the cell assemblage generates a condition report signal for informing an arbitrating circuit of the channel of the cell. In response, the arbitrating circuit determines a channel to read out on the basis of the amounts of cell data stored in the buffer, and then outputs a read control signal meant for the above channel. On receiving the write control signal, the buffer writes the channel-by-channel signal therein. In response to the read control signal, the buffer outputs the signal of the channel designated by the signal and feeds it to a cell transmission circuit. The transmission circuit adds a cell header to the data output from the buffer to thereby form a cell to be sent.

  • Patent number: 6243429
Abstract: A data demodulator includes a first decision circuit for demodulating a received signal to thereby output a first digital signal. A baseband circuit converts the first digital signal to a baseband signal lying in the same frequency band as the received signal. A code processing signal generator has a data rate substantially equal to one-half of the data rate of the received signal, and generates a code processing signal whose transition point is coincident with every two-bit transition point of the received signal. A first mixer superposes the code processing signal on the baseband signal. A second mixer superposes the output of the first mixer on the received signal input to the first decision circuit to thereby demodulate the received signal by spreading. As a result, a noise component superposed on the received signal is spread.

  • Patent number: 6239958
Abstract: When a semiconductor integrated device is in an inactive state without being supplied with electric power, depletion type NMOS transistors act as resistors whereby a signal line connected to an input pad is electrically connected to the sources of input transistors via the NMOS transistors. In this situation, if an electrostatic surge is applied to the input pad, the surge is released to a voltage supply line. This ensures that the semiconductor integrated device is prevented from being damaged by the electrostatic surge. When electric power is supplied to the semiconductor integrated device and it becomes active, the NMOS transistors come to behave as insulating elements and thus these NMOS transistors have no adverse effects on the normal operation of the semiconductor integrated device.

  • Patent number: 6236648
Abstract: In a CDMA receiver, an A/D converter over-samples an analog reception baseband signal with a sampling clock a frequency of which is 2n times higher than a chip clock, and converts it into a digital reception baseband signal. A correlator obtains a correlation value between the digital reception baseband signal and a pilot spreading code which is synchronous with a reception timing. A phase difference detecting unit obtains a phase difference between the digital reception baseband signal and the reception timing based on the correlation value. A timing controlling unit changes the reception timing in such a manner as to eliminate the phase difference obtained by the phase difference detecting unit.
