Abstract: A modified box scraper system that is fitted with a first, second and third plurality of attachment devices located on the rearward end and both sides of the box scraper allowing for the attachment of a variety of modified work implements, the modified work implements including box scraper extensions, a road repair fabric applicator, a trench compaction wheel, a slope board, a rear forklift system, a windrow scraper, a backfill blade and a serrated cutting blade.

Abstract: A disengageable surfboard that starts out as a long, paddle-sized board that a surfer uses, either in the standard prone position or standing with a paddle, to enter the surf. Once the surfer has used the board to catch a wave, he or she quickly releases the back portion of the board, typically made of a soft foam, through a quick move of his or her foot, leaving the surfer with a smaller, higher performance surfboard that would have been initially difficult for the surfer to catch without the extra length afforded through the disengaged piece.

Abstract: A combination confocal and scanning probe microscope system permits accurate location of a sample within the field of view as the sample translates from one type of microscope to the other. Alternate embodiments permit both microscopes to view the same sample location at the same time. Further alternate embodiments include a confocal and a probe microscope integrated into a common optical path.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for cutting off a well which includes hydraulic rams, a sharp blade and a supporting structure that surrounds the well and holds it in place while the hydraulic rams and sharp beveled blade shears the well and cuts it off. The entire apparatus is operated with an hydraulic system and can be lifted over any well with a crane.

Abstract: A quick coupling type fitting is disclosed that connects two ends of two different pipes together in a fluid tight manner. It is designed for convenience in installation, high strength, compact size, easy manufacture with a low production cost, high efficiency and does not require the use of special tools for installation. The coupling utilizes a grab ring module that has a grab ring made with embedded stainless steel, thereby strengthening the fixing force and allowing for quick installation. A flaring surface on a retaining flange has an angle that corresponds to a tapering surface of the grab ring module. When the flaring surface and the tapering surface contact each other, the grab ring module compresses the surface of the pipe. Because the grab ring module has an outer plastic body with a small inner part, the grab ring module can be compressed to the pipe without causing fatigue of any members inside of the fitting. A specialized tool allows for quick and easy dismantling of the fitting.

Abstract: A collapsible truck rack that can be assembled and disassembled easily without the use of tools. The rack can be stored in the interior periphery of the truck bed so as not to appreciable diminish the capacity of the truck bed for the placement therein of items to be transported. The rack does not increase the profile of the vehicle when in the collapsed position and therefore reduces drag during transport. An X-load is added to reduce shift of the load during turns. An optional brace can be bolted to the top surface of the periphery of the truck bad. An optional canvas cover can be used to cover the collapsed rack to secure and protect the rack when not in use.

Abstract: An improved water return system for water reservoirs such as aquariums and ponds that provides a return of filtered water through a series of holes rather than a curved weir or spillway. The use of the holes provides for high oxygenation of the water prior to its return to the water reservoir to the benefit of life in the water reservoir. Further, the use of the holes provides reduced noise upon the return of the water because of the surface tensions attracting adjacent streams to each other. Also, placement of the holes provides a damming effect for the filter media that can become a site for the cultivation of beneficial bacteria that are necessary to remove ammonia and nitrites from the water by positioning the media mostly out of water, thereby allowing necessary oxygen to be freely available to grow bacteria.

Abstract: An adapter that eliminates that need for a clamp during the alignment of vehicle wheels. The adapter is particularly useful in tires that have lipless wheels, rim-guard tires, stiffer sidewalls and larger diameter wheels, which have caused problems when using traditional clamps. The adapter is cylindrical in shape and has a first end and a second end. The first end is attached to the alignment instrument. The second end is attached to a hole located in the center of a plate that is attached to the vehicle hub assembly through two or more lug bolts. The plate is positioned substantially parallel to the vehicle wheel and the alignment head is then attached directly to the hub through the clampless adapter, providing for improved accuracy in alignment measurements and corrections.

Abstract: A retention collar for securing weights to a barbell that includes two side plates with a pull bar and a cam lever. Two sets of pressure pins provide a frictional fit with the barbell when the collar is in its closed position, which is achieved by use of the am lever. The side plates are secured to each other by screws or rivets.

Abstract: An apparatus that is a multi-purpose device that provides the caretaker of an infant a mobile, collapsible frame that can convert to a stroller, a walker, a high chair, a carrier, a bassinet and a backpack and that can accommodate the placement of car seats made by third party manufacturers.

Abstract: A system and apparatus for crushing waste material that is manual and portable. On the underside of the lid to the apparatus is a detachable handle with a plate attached thereto that has a series of rough ridges. The handle can descend down the height of the apparatus through a pair of parallel channels located down the front and rear of the apparatus. At the bottom of the apparatus on the interior is a mating plate that has a second series of rough edges that fit like a zipper with the ridges of the top plate for crushing of waste. The handle is lockable through latches to the lid of the apparatus when not in use. A second lock holds the handle in place on the rear of the apparatus when not in use. An interior removable basket with foldable handles and/or gripping holes on the side. The interior basket has channels on the front and rear walls that correspond to the main body portion.

Abstract: A mounting system for mounting an alignment instrument onto a vehicular wheel which is to be used to align the wheel of the vehicle. The mounting system includes a mounting plate which has an engagement structure located directly adjacent the peripheral edge of the mounting plate. At least a pair of lug nuts, and preferably three in number of the lug nuts, of the vehicular wheel are to be removed and replaced with elongated internally threaded sleeves, all the same length, which are substantially longer in length than the lug nuts so that the mounting plate will be mounted in a spaced relationship from the vehicular wheel. The mounting plate includes a series of pre-cut, designated bolt patterns generally radially disposed in a spaced apart arrangement relative to the center of the mounting plate. A fastener assembly is used to fixedly mount the mounting plate onto the elongated internally threaded sleeves.

Abstract: A burial urn for cremated remains which utilizes a housing which covers an internal bin having at least one chamber which is adapted to connect with a plurality of chambers for the containment of remains and mementos therein. The exterior side edge of the housing is formed of a polygonal shape and is divided into a series of separate panels with there being a name plaque mounted on each panel. A single chamber is to align with a particular name plaque. The housing covers the internal bin with the internal bin being secure to the housing through a simple nut and bolt assembly.
