Abstract: An improved meter jaw assembly includes a one-piece meter jaw member formed by extrusion and including a pair of resilient jaw contacts extending from a base tab which also has a U-shaped wire receiver extending therefrom. Inner surfaces of the receiver are grooved to receive a slide nut with a threaded slide screw to clamp the end of a power cable therein. The jaw members include mounting keys to secure them to a mounting block. In a mold-in embodiment of the assembly, a pair of jaw members have mounting keys molded into the mounting block. In a slide-in embodiment, a pair of jaw members are retained in slide-in channels within the mounting block.

Abstract: A trigger mechanism for a dust filter pulse cleaning system includes a trigger frame, a trigger valve assembly including a reciprocating valve member having a valve head resiliently urged toward a valve seat and a striker head at an opposite end, a trigger arm pivotally connected to the trigger frame and including a cam follower, a twin lobed trigger cam journaled on the trigger frame and engaging the cam follower, and a pinion gear joined to the trigger cam and adapted for engagement with a fixed spur gear mounted coaxially with a rotary pulse cleaning air distribution arm extending from a rotary air tank. The trigger mechanism is mounted on the air tank and rotates therewith. An air release conduit is connected to the trigger valve and causes the opening of a main diaphragm valve to release air pulses from the air tank when pressure is released from the release line. Compressed air within the release line also acts to urge the valve head against the valve seat.

Abstract: A field communication and computer data distribution system includes a weatherproof housing with a hinged lid, a panel positioned in the housing and having a plurality of pairs of insulation displacement connector units mounted thereon, and a pair of multi-terminal box connectors on opposite sides thereof. A double pole, single throw switch interconnects each connector unit of a pair to perform testing functions. Auxiliary connectors are interconnected to selected pairs or groups of pairs of the connector units. The connector units and auxiliary connectors enable the connection of communication devices, such as telephone sets, to cables connected to the distribution box, as well as computer modems and network interface adapters.

Abstract: A container or pitcher is provided having a flexible side wall portion and rim portion of the container which can conform to the shape of an object to which the pitcher is applied to thereby direct fluid flow from the pitcher over a broader area and to prevent fluid from flowing from the pitcher and underneath the rim of the pitcher and onto portions of the object to which it is not desirable to apply the fluid.

Abstract: A single pass process and apparatus for manufacturing a folded yard sign from a pre-cut sheet previously coated on both sides with a fusible polymer includes the steps of printing an image on an outside of the sheet, curing the image, scoring the printed sheet, folding the scored sheet, ultrasonically sealing regions along side edges of the folded sheet, and stacking the sealed sheets, which are finished sign products ready for packaging. The ultrasonic sealing fuses the polymer coated inside surfaces along the edges of the folded sheet. The sealed side edges form a sign support receiving pocket in the finished sign member in cooperation with a folded edge of the sign member.

Abstract: A multi-organizational project management system provides for full lifecycle tracking of business activities of a complex mix of governmental entities and business organizations by maintaining a secure database of data entities or records to track such activities. The system provides for secure sharing of information among the governments and organizations by controlling access to data entities based on organizational membership and assigned role of system users. The system provides flexible structural relationships among the various data entities. A graphic, web-based user interface of the system enables efficient access to the data entities for entry and update of specific data.

Abstract: A cord storage device is provided which allows the simultaneous winding and unwinding of both halves of a cord while maintaining both cord ends in position for use and the device also permits unwinding of the cord from the storage device while one cord end is held in a fixed position.

Abstract: A concrete vibrator powered by a portable drill includes a housing having a contacting pad at one end and an axial bore. A camshaft is received within the bore. A transverse retainer is secured on the camshaft for retaining the camshaft within the bore. The camshaft includes a pair of cam surfaces at one end. A cam follower is disposed within the bore for engaging the cam surfaces when the camshaft is rotated. The cam follower and cam surfaces cooperatively cause axial reciprocation of the rotating camshaft for producing axial vibration of the housing face. The axial bore includes a radially expanded portion to receive the retainer and prevent complete withdrawal of the camshaft. The camshaft includes a transverse bore for receiving the retainer within the radially expanded portion. The retainer has a spring bearing against a trapped ball projecting beyond the cylindrical surface of the camshaft.

Abstract: An axial thrust bulb socket with bayonet removal of the bulb includes a flat bulb support member mounted in spaced relation to a pair of resilient socket end connectors and having a circular socket opening with a pair of pin retainer tabs extending therefrom toward the socket end connectors and having pin latch notches at ends thereof which open toward the socket end connectors. Pin clearance notches are formed at edges of the socket opening in alignment with guide edges of the tabs. The tabs have pin guide grooves which align with the pin latch notches. A bayonet style bulb can be inserted in the bulb support member by aligning the bayonet pins thereof with the pin notches of the tabs and then inserting the bulb base into the socket opening by axial movement alone until the pins snap into the latch notches. The bulb can be removed in a conventional bayonet manner and can, alternatively, be installed in a bayonet manner for manual replacement.

Abstract: A coordinated lift system with user selectable RF channels coordinates the raising and lowering of a vehicle relative to a surface by using wireless communications. The lift system includes at least two lift mechanisms each having support frame, including a post, a carriage, an actuating device, and a control device with a channel selector switch. The carriage is slidably mounted on the post and is configured to support a portion of the vehicle. The actuating device is engaged between the support frame and the carriage and is activated to move the carriage relative to the post. The control device is interfaced with the actuating device and includes an RF transceiver to enable communication by RF signals with the other control device. The channel on which the transceiver operates is user selectable in the field. A rechargeable battery may provide power to the control device to allow for increased mobility of the lift system.

Abstract: A hardened voyage data recorder includes two subsystems: a removable non-volatile memory and a base containing electronics and firmware for communicating with data sensing systems and for accessing the memory. According to the invention, the memory is protected in a “boiler” and the electronics includes an ETHERNET interface for connecting to shipboard data acquisition devices. The firmware is preferably configured via web pages. A communications protocol for communicating with the recorder is also disclosed.

Abstract: A system for diagnosing and tracking patient symptoms includes providing an interview instrument implemented as a computer program accessible by clinician and patient to record symptoms and having diagnostic and assessment information for a selected disorder, the clinician interviewing a patient to identify, assess, and record symptoms on the instrument or the patient recording symptoms on the instrument before the first interview. The clinician develops a diagnosis and treatment plan and records them on the instrument and follows up with interviews for identifying and recording any changes on the instrument for documenting effects of the treatment plan.
