Abstract: A system providing efficient cataloging and storage of data-storage devices. The system comprises a plurality of removable holders adapted to hold at least one of the data-medium-containing articles. Each holder is adjustably mounted within a support comprising three cylindrically shaped members. While engaged within the support, the holders are free to move independently along the cylindrically shaped members to permit holders to be added or removed from any position within the indexed plurality of stored holders. The system is modular and may be expanded in size and capacity. The system may be integrated within furnishings.
Abstract: A strap system for selectively and independently binding and/or releasing at least one sets of essentially longitudinal objects, such as wires, from one another. A continuous strip of such two-sided material may be stored on a reel and is designed so that a user may select a preferred length and configuration for a particular use by making a single cut of the material strip from the reel-strip end. Each system includes at least two attached straps which each independently of the other may be used to loopably bind objects. Apertures between the straps permit cinching of each strap.
Abstract: A combined motor-battery system comprising an electric power source adapted to convert self-originating electrical current to mechanical power utilizing a set of common functional structures. Preferred embodiments include an electrochemical cell comprising field reactive electrodes that directly produce extractable mechanical forces in the presence of a magnetic field.
Abstract: A translator is provided for reading the bar codes displayed on the screen of a portable electronic device which utilizes a digital camera and/or a microphone responsive to tones from the portable electronic device to process and convert the information received from the camera and/or the microphone to a form readable by a reflective bar code reader without requiring any modification of the bar code reader.
Abstract: A system relating to improving the usefulness of one or more electronic pianos by providing a multifunctional outer housing. Such outer housing is assembled substantially from modular components, preferably adapted for rapid set-up and breakdown. The housings are designed to generally resemble traditional acoustic pianos. The system incorporates a number of hardware components including an onboard computer device adapted to query and display information contained within a music-related database. A method of commercial distribution is also disclosed.
Abstract: A system for picking up solid objects, such as pet debris and pet waste, and automatically sealing such pet waste within a disposable liner. The liner is installed on a hand-held scooper device by an automatic applicator. The liners are design specifically for the system and comprise a self-sealing feature adapted to assist in encapsulating the waste. The applicator also functions as a storage holder for the hand-held scoop. A kit comprising the hand-held scoop device, the storage automatic applicator, and disposable liners is also disclosed.
Abstract: A method and system for designing, manufacturing and selling thematic cooking plates that are interchangeable with removable cooking plates in various waffle irons, sandwich grillers and waffle iron/sandwich griller combinations. The cooking plates may have a pattern on one or both sides. The plates may be packaged in a variety of combinations, but most often as a group of three cooking plates each with different patterns representing a single theme.
Abstract: A ground-based system for simulating dynamic suborbital-flight environments occurring during substantially complete suborbital-flights by a flight vehicle.
Abstract: A housing system related to the protective housing of a fishing rod and reel, particularly, a fly-fishing rod and reel, during transport. The system comprises a two-part housing adapted to separately compartmentalize the fishing rod and attached fishing reel. A specialized access slot allows easy installation into, and removal from, the housing. The specialized access slot also functions to fixably suspend the fishing reel in the housing interior, thus providing improved protection against damage during transport. A method of manufacture and sale is also disclosed.
Abstract: A system for improving and streamlining the evaluation and purchase of products from salespeople by buyers. In particular, methods for successfully managing interactions between buyers and sellers in high volume retail environments by implementing a standardized product offer proposal method and subsequent controls on the buying decision-making process. It utilizes existing tools and new software to improve buyer's efficiency by consolidating the software systems tools into a single standardized user interface and improves seller's efficiency by providing product offering proposal preparation and presentation tools as well as buyer appointment scheduling tools and generates revenue by buyers as an integral part of the buying process.
Abstract: A method and system for interactively shopping for groceries, especially on an Internet web site, where the user may create a shopping list, shop for items from the list at a selected Grocery Storey store, arrange for pick up or delivery of the selected items and payment, or to download the list to a PDA or for printing with the store's layout for use in the store. Users are required to register and provide specific demographic information (useful to Manufacturers and stores) to be eligible to receive the benefits of use of the web site, such as menu creation, coupon downloads, menu planning, and recipe input. Shopping lists may be created from a single input screen using standard language text; and products may be automatically suggested to the user based on best regular price or retailer's specials. Recipes may be altered to meet numbers of servings or dietary requirements and changes stored for future use.
Abstract: A rigid-flex circuit board system that can be manufactured using less expensive and more reliable rigid circuit board methods and equipment, and can maintain rigidity and dimensional stability until the time when it is first desired to flex.
Abstract: An electronic image display system that provides a wall-mounted television/electronic display. Dual display screens are oriented back-to-back such that one display screen is visible in a first room and one display screen is visible in an adjacent room. The invention provides theft-resistance and provides built-in content monitoring and parental control options.
Abstract: A temporary electrified fence enclosure system utilizing movable storable fence posts and flexible electrified ribbons that are retractably reeled within the fence post. Each fence post comprises an internal power source. Each electrified ribbon is coupled mechanically to other fence posts to create the enclosure. The system is preferably stored or removably attached to a trailer, such as a horse trailer, and is quickly and easily set-up.
Abstract: A cover plate system for making custom natural stone cover plates for electrical outlets, wall switches and other outlets and openings over which it is desired to place a natural stone cover plate. The natural stone cover plates are made from quarried stone, cultured stone, and natural rock materials such as terrazzo, marble, and granite preferably supplied by the homeowner, or end user, to a central factory, then manufactured, then shipped back to the end user to match other such material being used in the end user's building.
