Abstract: A system for mechanically assisted repositioning of a bed-ridden patient within a hospital-type bed equipped with a moving mattress pad driven by an electric motor. The mattress pad is formed into a continuous loop disposed over a plurality of support and drive rollers. The system is adaptable to existing hospital beds.
Abstract: A vacuum pool cleaning system that is housed in the side of the swimming pool. The pool vacuum unreels itself and vacuums the pool when the central pool vacuum pump is turned on, and reels itself back into storage when the central pool vacuum pump is turned off. The vacuum hose is stored on a reel below the water line. The system is powered entirely by the vacuum from the pool vacuum pump.
Abstract: A system for storing cremated remains in one or more holders that may be comfortably held by an individual. The present invention comprises a “plush container”, such as a stuffed animal, and further comprises ornamental symbols or similar features for ornamentally symbolizing at least one characteristic of the entity associated with the cremated remains. For example, the system may comprise a symbolic depiction of a vocation or avocation associated with the individual's life. Preferred embodiments also comprise user customizable elements that include photographic and similar graphic imprinting.
Abstract: An on-site electrical power generation system utilizing environmentally hazardous waste oils as a combustible fuel. The disclosed invention utilizes environmentally hazardous waste oils generated by one or more on-site processes, such as, for example, by the maintenance of transportation vehicles. In addition, the system is adapted to provide local space heating and hot water as a byproduct of the combustion process.
Abstract: A hand-held system adapted to assist stripping of an undulating outer jacket of a twisted pair wire. The system incorporates cutters to provide two longitudinal cuts through the outer jacket of the twisted shielded pair wire. The cutters are removable and replaceable.
Abstract: A tailgate extender system is provided having telescoping supports, which stores entirely within a storage compartment in the tailgate, and which extends directly perpendicular to the tailgate surface for use. The telescoping supports are hingedly connected to the tailgate within the storage compartment and are slidingly connected to the top rail of the tailgate extender. Further, a cargo netting system that retracts into the tailgate extender top rail is provided.
